Hey Sau,

Thinking my new C34 is in due for a new front mount. The black edition intercooler by cooling pro seems like a good upgrade, Had the HKS type-S on the R33 and it was a beautiful fit hassle free. Hoping this one will be the same.

Anyways to my question, what kind of power figures can the following intercooler handle take before they start to hinder your performance capabilities... My aim is roughly 300kw, here is a link to the intercooler http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=19944&cat=&page=2

Best regards chris.

So you think its a worthwhile upgrade if im chasing 300kw? maybe even 350 eventually down the track

It will get you 300 that I know 350 I cant say as I havnt gone that far, but I will say this if I was going to buy a cooler and I knew I was going for 300 350 kw I would put the few hundred extra and buy the blitz just for the sake of knowing 100percent and also the fitment is alot better. The JJR kits are abit of stuffing around. So if I had to do it again i would of gone the blitz my reason for not going was at time of purchase I wasnt aiming for 300kw and I'm lucky that so far it has held up.

Yeah it was either the greddy/trust kit or the JJR kit due to the cost blitz doesnt sound too bad either, as mentioned earlier i had the HKS type-S non return type front mount and it fitted beautifully not much stuffing around.

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
