Rb25 Turbo Hi-Flow/upgrade

Hey guys,

Just asking for a friend.

His R34 RB25 turbo is on it way out. Would it be worth hi-flowing the turbo?

Or would he be better off looking for an aftermarket turbo? Does anyone know which aftermarket turbo's are a direct bolt-on to the standard RB25 manifold?

Cheers,

Jace.

Anything with a T3 flange will bolt to the standard manifold but with aftermarket turbos there will be new dump and intake pipes needed.

Go see Grant at Per4manz turbos, he built my R34 highflow.

Roughly how much to have the standard turbo hi-flowed?

Is there any advantage in doing that as opposed to getting an aftermarket one etc?

Not sure, mine came with the Stagea and I just had it rebuilt by Grant for a very reasonable price.

Maybe ring him and ask?

The benefits of a highflow are it bolts up to standard piping and externally looks like standard. He said mine is good for up to 24psi and 400rwhp which is pretty damn good for looking like factory.

Ok no worries.

I suppose hi-flowing the turbo is the way to go. I'll speak with my mate.

Cheers for the advice/help Bubba.
