Hey Clint

Haven't heard from you in some time, are you still after tinting?

I've received quite a few quotes around the $300 mark each, but I did receive this quote this morning. It isn't as cheap as show off ya tints ($200 each if we go in together), but this mob here is $210 each.

They attached a photo of an M3 they did and the tinting looks REALLLLLLY nice...

Hi Richie,

We won't be any cheaper than that quote.

Where are you located? Sounds like we may be a bit of a distance from you as he is located in the Logan area from memory.

We are located at Eagle Farm - at the BMW pre-delivery location. If that is too far for you the owner sometimes works from Waterford on weekends for people he knows personally - by the type of car you have I assume you have been referred to us?

In regards to the type of film - he would use a Carbon based film - the same film he puts on all the new BMW's. This film has no metal layers so it won't interfere with any GPS, mobile phone or radio signals. It also contains no dye so it will never fade. Your Lifetime warranty is Australia Wide and is warranted against everything including fading, peeling, cracking. crazing, bubbling. I've attached a photo of a vehicle tinted in this film.

Price to do 2 R34's in this film is $420 if you have them done on the same day or price to do one is $230.

If there is any film on the car already that will need to be removed and an extra cost applied.

ooh that looks sweet. Yeah I am keen for the extra $10 for quality - I am guessing this mob is fairly reputable if they have the contact for new BMW's.

I will be in Brissy on the weekend of the 23rd of July - how does this suit you?

Is there anyone else around that wants to get amongst this action? may even be able to get it a tad cheaper if we get more cars!

Hey mate

We are booked in for Saturday the 23rd of this month. He's doing our cars for $200 each (Ours currently don't have tint).

If you wanted to squeeze yourself into our little group (3 people) give Shannon a call on 0410 111 657

They would have us booked under Richie (23rd July). Clints mate: 9am, me: 10am, Clint: 11am (So 12 noon and on wards would likely be free).

Just for future reference, Shannon and Emily are really good - And very friendly and hospitable.

Darkest legal on mine and it looks really good. Shannon is taking the trip to my place just to ensure it is 100% today as well - What more can you ask for?

I'll put some photos up over the next day or so. Great deal and good quality.

Contact: [email protected] (She replies fairly quickly)

Sorry Emily - Didn't catch that last post you did. Was just randomly reading through these threads and saw I missed a reply here!

I've attached a photo of the car with your 35 carbon tint.

I have more photos if you want Emily.

    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
    • Thank you so much for the help
    • Yes it is ATF. I quote @Duncan "it takes a good synthentic auto trans fluid like Castrol Transmax Z" It's not a diff. It's a transfer case. Totally different thing. Yes, fluid will come out the sender hole. No you do not really need to drain it. Just pull the old, quickly poke the new, clean up and top up. But realistically, you should probably take the opportunity to change it anyway.
