Hey all, just want to know what i should be checking. My car just got back from the mechanic to have clutch replaced, i've done approx 110kms on it since and i've noticed the rear passenger side brake has started rubbing. Can't see how the two could be related but just thought i'd throw that in there. Is definately rubbing cause it's started scratching into the disc on the outside edge. From the edge to about 8mm in is constant marking and then in a few small patches about halfway through the contact area. What things should i check and how to do so?? To me the pads don't appear excessively worn as its pretty much the same as the driver side which isn't rubbing.

so i made the missus move her car out of the garage so i could have somewhere flat to jack it up and pulled the caliper off and it appears the pads are excessively worn, as in there is no pad left. they look alot different to my old vl's ones when they're in hence me assuming they weren't worn, but they definately are f***ed. Ordered a new set from Repco should be here tuesday. Glad it's an easy fix

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
