I did a search beforehand, just want your guys opinions.

In time with my rebuild am i right in assuming it would be more beneficial for me to go to the Apexi pfc over the microtech lt8 i have, as it will give me better fuel economy (with use of an afm), engine safety (knock sensor etc) and better tuning? Engine is a rb20det. Currently i have shocking fuel economy, which i want to address.

PFC will work with ALL of the stock sensors, that's the whole idea of it. You can definitely change AFMs though (along with just about anything else), the PFC does have some of the more common options pre-programmed in.

Microtech LT8 is, from what I've heard, fine for making power, but lacks a little in the cold-start, low rpm, idle control etc area. It doesn't bother with these kinds of niceties, that's how they keep costs down. Well, that's what I've heard anyway. Maybe someone who has some experience with Microtechs can shed some light.

It might be worth getting someone to retune the Microtech before you fork out $1300+ for a PFC - it's possible you just have bad part-throttle tuning. Have you already modified the loom?
