2.5L
Hi guys and girls I'm currently running a Series 2 RB25DET in a R32 Skyline, Running the standard R33 ECU as well. Car has bugger all done too it engine wise, just the normal Pod in a cold air box, intercooler and 3 inch exhaust from the turbo back. I'm currently looking towards some real control over the engine and plan on going a aftermarket ECU. The only real things I need from it other than the basics is I would prefer to go a system that flogs off the MAF in place of a MAP sensor. And something capable of making decend power in the future Ive looked into and annoyed many people about what they would suggest but would like more input before I spend my money. I'm not looking to spend huge amounds of cash either (arnt we all?) Cheers 2.5L Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/371040-suitable-ecu/ Share on other sites
Checkbuzz
Nistune - using modded Z32 ECU rewired for the R33 (different firing order); this is a commonly used solution these days for R33's and is by far the least expensive option. It won't do away with the AFM (again the Z32 AFM is a common upgrade) but keeps many factory features such VCT, cold start, knock sensor etc They can be purchased, installed and tuned for aorund the $1k mark all up... most after market ECU's will cost at least that just to purchase (2nd hand!). Good luck Hi guys and girls I'm currently running a Series 2 RB25DET in a R32 Skyline, Running the standard R33 ECU as well. luvpsi
im running a microtech lt12s was a pain to get the vct working but we got there aventully and it runs using map sensor.. i have had absolute no problems using it however alot of people dont like the microtech but other love them. speak to your preferred tuner. a ecu is only as good as its tuner Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/371040-suitable-ecu/#findComment-5915718 Share on other sites
paulr33
nothing to be gained by going from MAF to MAP powerfc is my recommendation Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/371040-suitable-ecu/#findComment-5915720 Share on other sites
