In all honesty the difference between mandrel and press bent exhausts isnt huge especially when theres not many bends involved.

My R32 has 3 bends (that are of any significance, and one of those is on the front pipe which he isnt getting anyway), the rest are such slight bends (5-10 degrees) that spending extra money on a mandrel bend is a bit silly.

Admitedly I have seen some bad press bent exhausts that would limit flow considerably. But done correctly they can be pretty good. And since 3 inches is pretty large anyway, going down to 2.5-2.75" on 2 or 3 bends isnt going to stifle flow that much.

Hey all

I'm now in the process of getting an exhaust for my car and i've found a descent place.

3' inch mild steel, hi flow cat, turbo back and stainless steel tip = $800 (fitted)

Seems like a good price as other places quoted me 1500 for the same job.

What you guys think? Any good?

-Dan

That's a very good price!

I've been looking in the region of 1500 bucks minimum for my exhaust (mind you, it is twin system being a 300zx).

Might have to have a talk to the fellows there and see what they can do for me :)

Cheers

Rob

Hi All i went out yesterday to visit this exhaust shop and yes its $800.00 fully fitted 3" all the way from the turbo with a dam big cannon on the back end the only problem is he said it would take 1 - 1 and a half days to do the job nice bloke,

He said that he has done a few WRX and sorts he also said that its quiet loud but can supply a baffel that you can screw into the back of the exhaust to make it a bit more quiet. well worth a look if you are able to be with out you car for a day or so.

    • I used to have Walbro 255's when they were a pretty common update. (or were they 044? 040?) In any case I had a dirty tank. I thought the tank was good, but I would find the filter would clog in maybe ~50km of driving. If the issue persists, well, your fuel system or tank has crap in it that the pump is sucking up.
    • Hi. Ok thanks for the info. I/we do not know what tune is on that Nistune ECU so it is why there is stock ECU and that Nistune is for later when the car is done. I have guy who tunes Nistune and other ECU so i will then take it to him to see and properly tune for the car   And for the update. On 99,9% it is bad fuel pump. Which is wierd cuz it is like 2 years old(brand new walbro 255) and that filter (also brand new) was dirty.  I was alwaya pumped premium(100) on very good petrol station so i dont know how is that possible...
    • Dear folks My family members have 4 different cars : Triton 2015 and Corolla 2011 and Mazda3 2012 and Hyundai Elantra 2014 Looking to buy engine oil funnel spill free What I found are are below  https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BBTTJNKX?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image&th=1 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/145553221359?srsltid=AfmBOoqYBU6Ptw0LU_bAp_k67U3qkF97HHvePkA7iHZw8vUmiwoIRaRr https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09X23TCS5?th=1 Is there a funnel with attachment that fits most cars ? Don't mind to spend for a decent quality  Thx
    • Stock ECU (or more accurately stock tune) absolutely refuses to go over 10psi and behaves like you have seen. The Nistune is the same if it is the stock tune. If the Nistune chip has been tuned, the resulting tune could be literally anything for any combination of parts. The Nistune just makes the stock ECU Tunable.
    • So stock ECU does not like anything above 10 psi?  That Nistune one is just for "try" if it will be any different, I know it need to be tune for that. I know but YOU may know about these problem but i/we dont. They few little Skylines here let alone people who know anything about tham so that is why iam asking here
