Ive looked and looked about this!

has anyone got any experience with cleaning the inside of their car. someone told me armourall was quite abrasive on some surfaces / leather / pleather etc.

can someone give me a good recommendation for a solvent for cleaning interiors in skylines?

im pretty meticulous about the inside of mine.

Tim

huggies baby wipes, even good for bugs on the bonnet, not the best for glass tho, and yes, I am serious.

Please done be serious ;P

Baby wipes will dry out your vinyl and leather and lead to cracking and sun damage. same on the paint plus it will remove any LSP you have on the car.

303 Aerospace Protectant is the best in my oppinion and can be found at www.waxit.com.au also Bowdens Own Vinyl Care is great from bowdensown.com.au

Ps Armorall sucks and has silicon witch can destory your vinyl over time and leave it greasy where as neither products I mentioned do.

Mitch

^ +1 i hate the greasy feeling of armourall

I generally just wipe the interior down with some GPC from final inspection - nothing for any shine though, but at least its clean .. and not greasy. haven't had time to go ordering anymore products - might just go with mitch's opinion :)

Hooray! Something i know about!

I met a bloke named Andrew Mcduff who specialises in repairing car interiors. He usually does ferraris & stuff

but he actually came to have a look at mine i think mostly out of a casual interest in skylines

He made deep gouges in my centre console vanish without a trace and told me some of his tricks for car interiors.

After being told I threw away the armor all because over time it takes the moisture out of your surfaces and makes them wear in the sun.

His solution? "Glitz" leather protectant. Little white tub in the cleaning section of bunnings. $7.45. You can use it on plastic, leather, vinyl. I've been using it ever since. It does give a similar

look to armor all but not quite as "fake shiny"
