Ill have to get some 2nd hand ones to tie me over

Saturday 17th of september. Breakfast meet folks so get your names down.

This one is a relatively short notice deal but that wont stop us having fun.

Cost is 25 dollars per member and 30 dollars per non member.

20/30 minutes track time plus a bacon and egg breakfast included in the price....Get on it!

nate,

it is a SAU club event so your fee is $30 since you are not a member. common sense applies to this event - do something wrong that causes or almost causes a crash and you WILL know about it.

the whole idea is not to race but to get out on a track and enjoy yourself.

questions I'm happy to answer them ( I am an exec for the club) or shoot noel a message.

For those unfamiliar with happy laps the event is designed to allow people to dip their toe in the water of track work in an relatively safe and enjoyable environment.

There are no rules regarding safety equipment etc (helmets not required, wear what you want) but as this is the case and this is a FUN event not a serious one there are rules governing track behaviour.

Passing is only allowed on the straights unless the car in front specifically waves you past, the car making the pass has the responsibility to do so safely and will be held accountable for anything that goes wrong. No dangerous driving or high risk stuff (don't dive under someone under brakes, no drifting, don't pass mid corner etc), speed is meant to be limited to "spirited" driving but who knows what that really means when you have R35's, E85 powered Evo's, built monsters like Sugar Daddy @500hp etc on track at the same time as almost stock daily driver R and V series Skylines. I was hitting around the 170kph mark at the kink at lakeside last time we did one of these to give you an idea of speed.

Common sense is the rule of the day. It is a brilliant event and loads of fun and at $30 for non SAuQld members including breakfast is as cheap a track experience as you will ever find.

To add to what has already been mentioned, There is a limit to the number of cars permitted to participate in the happy laps event. Treat the day like you would a club car cruise. You are all driving (in the same direction...) for the fun of it. Just like a club car cruise, you are alowed to have some fun, but if you do something stupid, you will be asked to leave.

So having said all that, you guys need to come down and join in the fun and have a good feed at the same time. It's early, but it'll be worth it!

Thanks very much, i will come down, i cant get any new tyres fast enough so my current ones will have to do, and as you said its just for fun and to see what driving on a track is like. What is the limit and is it open to friends that dont have a nissan v35?

Also from 7.15am to what time?

If you have mates who are keen they'd be more than welcome. Last event we had 2 Evo 8's, an SLK55 AMG, R32 Golf, Suzuki Swift Sport and a few other ring ins. We need to confirm numbers ASAP so post up confirmation in the thread in the qld section.

    • I have more than enough digging, laying blocks, moving gravel, airrating, feeding and top soiling the grass, and setting up the veggie gardens growing some seedlings,  and then removing all the unused rock to keep me busy for the next few months at least,  hopefully the rain stops soon so I can get a few hours in this arvo, but, before that Sunday is washing day, is every body happy, you bet your life we are Nice country road day drives are a day off whenever I'm muscle sore from all the landscaping at the moment, but, more epic multiple day drives will start once the majority of the big jobs outside are completed
    • I hear that would involve some nice country road drives into the hills for Mark...
    • I thought I'd come back and add something I JUST learned. A Toyota LandCruiser with a 1HZ, mates perfectly with a bottle of Nulon brake fluid. As in, it perfectly screws in. Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
