Okay guys as some of you have learnt I am new to this forum and skylines in general, I am the ultimate NEWBIE :) but I am willing to learn and take criticism :P to a degree

- anyways I am looking at getting a new front bar for my skyline r33 s1 coupe, it is dark grey KH2 code, the current bar looks like it may be the 400R but its heaps low, like scraps hard on most driveway and thus has some nasty cracks on the bottom so I was looking at getting a new front bar sooon, I like the R33 GT or Type M bar looks neat without being overkill and not too low. you see my rear is standard wing like it goes from one side of the boot to other with a gap between it and the boot and im sure its standard. so the front bar is out of place. what would you suggest for another bar; aftermarket is fine as long as its not too pricey or overkill, want the car to look somewhat standard but stylish?

- ALSO, i was looking at maybe changing the rear spoiler I love the bigger GTR wings but I assume they would be high priced, but is there something similar aftermarket??

- I also really like the R33 GTR grill, compared to the standard one, Is there any way to put them into a standard r33 just for the look and style, almost like a mock up r33??

- also is there any place in ADELAIDE, that does like stickers/decals for the side of a skyline, maybe a picture or a design for the door or the guard, looking at getting something put on for a little more style and originality. maybe even a superman symbol sticker for the side or the window for myself but good quality and colors?? :)

- does anyone have any parts like front bumper for R33, or decent easy to install boost controller for my car, that I can use to read the boost and maybe change it up and down if I need? I am running the R32 actuator so it boosts alright just seems to hit top rpm and lag for a second before that boost hits? like it will rev out to 6/7 rpm then for a second later it will boost sound like woosh?

- okay is there anyway to tune the stock ECU i have on the R33 to make a difference in the low range rpm, because being auto and in drive, the car is average from 0-60/70. then starts climbing nicely to 80-90, then really opens up, but id like to tune it abit to make some difference low and high end overall?? is it simple and can it be done? how much price??

- does anyone have a HICAS bar to lock off the HICAS it keeps lighting up and pissing me off!!

I think that is about it for now, would appreciate some feedback and response to this and see what i should do to my car :P

THANKS GUYS

These forums are the best place to look mate,

a quick search came up with this thread :

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/203706-what-is-the-most-awesome-r33-gtr-bodykit/

Also don't look past the SAU Trader section, have a look at the threads for places like Just Jap, Kudos Motorsport and of course our club sponsors.

In regards to tuning, there's mixed reports from some highly reputable shops like HPinabox (South), Boostworx (North) but there's no denying they know their s**t. Alot of people including myself have their cars tuned at Willall Racing, and SAU:SA has a good relationship with them. I believe they offer a generous price for Nistune, which is a good cheap way to unlock a bit of your cars potential and keep the constabulary relatively happy.

In terms of used parts for sale, a fellow member by the username of ON EDGE might lead you in the right direction, and also lives in the same general area as you and I. Send him a PM.

My only other advice/ moreso a request... Please don't put a superman symbol on your car haha. Not my forte anyway..

hey just thought id say, i got a GTR rear wing off boostcruise for $150 but had to paint it again so some cheap parts to be had,

also my brother has a GTR grill on his series 1, doesnt fit perfect but looks alot better than a standard one, has mesh on it also..not sure where you'd get one though

please do this forum 1 favour, do not sticker or decal up ur car...

1 reason, u are not fast n the furious and

2 u do not want unwanted attention from the police, our cars catch their eye enough already

hicas lock bars are inbetween 65 and 120 on ebay brand new... 1 hr to fit

want to know anything just ask or pm

Not sure if a 32 hicas lock bar will fit a 33, but I have one for sale, with the bypass hose kit to go with. No reason why it wouldnt fit your 33 mikey if your interested. $100

32 n 33 different, hydraulic vs electric and size diff to...

    • Well, this is probably where a wiring diagram and a multimeter come into play.
    • I can say to anyone thats doing this; having done a number of R clusters; just be careful if its an unknown cluster.  It takes a bit of force to pull up; but if it feels excessive then its probably stuck. I've had this and pulled the entire hair spring out; and I can tell you; its not easy getting the correct spring replacement with the correct inner diameter and winding. In my case someone had used some sort of adhesive to stick it to the spindle and it pulled the whole spindle out; which the force seperated the hairspring from the spindal and caused it to deform.  You may have to clean it (IPA); or in my case if i'd known i should have used some sort of solvent on it.  Also check out Cruizin Central on eBay. He does all sorts of dials; and you can email him with any custom designs you want. So if you want like certain logos etc...he'll send you a mock of what it will look like then you accept the order and he'll take care of the rest. Fantastic dials and he can do basically any design you want.
    • Have you confirmed its the actual axles? Also the wheel bearings that mount on the hubs to hold the axles wear out. I replaced mine as they got play in them. It sorted my play issue.
    • Ive converted a few clusters for the R33 with 320km/h dials. On the back there are some pads which can be bridged or unbridged (using solder or wick braid) to calibrate it. There is one bridge which is for MPH <> KPH; and there are combinations of bridges to offset it. There is probably a diagram  For example; this is my conversion for a 180km/h dial to a 320km/h dial (I put custom GT-R dials on it with the GTS25t layout) If you have J2 soldered (assuming the S clusters have a similar config to the R clusters); you may need to remove that solder
    • Back on topic 😉, these are some of the notable pages from the booklets that are supplied with each weekly parts update. I never knew the BNR32 test mule car had an S13 Silvia front end... *Edit: On closer inspection the test car still had the R32 body, but only the front end had Silvia panels etc.
