Hey guys, thinking I'll order my wheels next week, they're 18x9.5 +20 rota grid-r in gloss black... Question is, will I need much/any guard work to fit them with 235/40 tyres? I have tein coilovers aswell, will I NEED camber arms??

Roll guards front and back should do it.

Ben Purtell at GT Garage did mine. Did a nice job too.

are your guards stock? if not you might need to get em pulled and rolled. there is def room if you do so, depending on how low you go. i used to run 18x10 +19. 235/35

I wanted to go 10's but the colour and style I want aren't available at the moment and would be weeks wait lol.. Stock guards, don't mind being mexican for a bit if need be till I can wind in some camber, might need to bust out a pole and bash the inner lip in haha

just get a big rubber mallet and a heat gun and do it right.

I Ran 18x 9.5 +20 with 245 tyres, they will work with just a roll.

I am now running 265 all round and they needed a little more than a roll on the rears, fronts are ok but i am runnin 3.5 deg camber

so a roll just pushes the lip up on the inside of the guard yes?

Pumping actually flares the guard out a little bit more?

Just seen that Rota Aus have got a container with takata green coloured grids in 18x9.5 +20.... thinking they will look better than the black... but will it draw too much cop attention??

green wheels will look balls.

just get the black because in 6 months when the fad for bright wheels is over you will still have nice wheels. they will also have far better resale.

i roll all my guards with a pice of pipe with the wheel on. just be working back wards and forwards. if you take your time this can give a very good result for a roll or flair.

ive done it to atleast 6 cars now and am stoked with the result. normaly i use varying sizes of pipe. from 30 to 60mm diameter
