damn, pity I didn't see this thread earlier, could have warned you off them...

Anyway, for people searching in the future, I'm running 18x11 +18 and they touch the suspension upright before full lock, so not ideal. I'll probably try and get some 5mm spacers to just get them out far enough to clear, but they're pretty much flush with the guards as is.

Does look good though.... :D

Any pics :D

Wheels are now on properly

Wheel specs are

Front: 19 x 11 ET15

Rear: 19 x 11 ET25

295/30/19 Yokohoma Advan V103 tyres all round :)

Next tyre change I'm gonna drop it down to a 285 tyre to give me a bit more clearance, Coilovers to come in the new year along with a probable arch roll and Z-Tune front wings to give even more movement :)

I know it needs centre caps - I just cant find any I like & I know the silver nuts looks silly but I've got some black ones due anytime from Adam @ Z1

Proper pics to come over the weekend assumming it stops raining at some point

That looks awesome

How much are you lowered by? Have you had to roll the arches or remove the guards? What tyre size?

Thanks!

Ride height is355mm from centre of wheel to wheel arch and the tyre size is 295/30/18. I haven't had to roll the guards at all but then again the cusco suspension is pretty firm and I don't think I've managed to get that much compression into the springs. A track day may change that though...

Also Ian, love those RE30s - they're one of my other rims of choice. But as everyone else is saying - needs more low!

Then again, if it's your daily, would make sense not to drop it - My heart is in my mouth every speed hump and dished road crossing

Front track is wider than rear?

In pictures, the rims are so flat. Can't see much of the re30 :(

Looks great though.

At the moment yeah. I'll see how it goes with them set up like this and go from there :)

Thanks!

Thats just what I wanted to hear :D I'm also running 295/30 and planning for Cusco coilovers (Had them on my 350Z and they were epic!)

Looks great Ian. Do u have plans 2 lower it?

Yup, lowering will be next. I'll take the car off the road over winter and get it ready for summer (coilovers, hardpipes and a few carbon touches ;))

    • Ok so after much research and talking with knowledgeable people I've got my turbo conversion done and it's all running great other than 1 small issue.  Car has remained auto with the na auto and tcm, I've used a stagea ecu with. NIstune board and everything is great other than my gear selection on the dash. It illuminates park, reverse, neutral, 3rd and 2nd. But nothing drive or what gear your in when you pop it into tiptronic.  I'm sure there is may e 1 wire in the ecu plug I need to move to rectify this. Dose anyone here have any ideas?   Cheers guys
    • Sorry I haven't been following all the detail, so you may have tried this. Does it idle with the tiniest bit of throttle you can add? You've mentioned the IACV, does it have an AAC valve and have you adjusted it at all (ie, screw the idle adjust screw all the way in, then back it out a couple of turns until idle is stable)?
    • My bad, I unplugged the one underlined in red instead of yellow before. With the car started, after unplugging the IACV (the one underlined in yellow), it idled at around 400/500 for 3 seconds before stalling. Attempting to start the car without the IACV will not start the car.   It does stutter and sputter for around 5 seconds before dying. However, immediately after starting it, you can already hear some slight sputters from the exhaust.   It won't start with the AFM unplugged. If it is when the car has already started, it stalls in a few seconds.   Yesterday, I did take some logs using Nistune of 3 scenarios. Car idling till it stalls Car idling and unplugging the IACV Car idling and removing the AFM I also have some previous logs of when the Car is idling till it stalls and when driving and it cuts. I am not really knowledgeable enough to understand what to look for. After every test, car idles rougher and rougher, until I have to stop. It will be fine the day after.
    • There is no difference between a 17x8 and an 18x8. The total diameter of the tyre needs to remain +/- the same (so you don't mess up the gearing, speedo reading, and clearance when turning front wheels..... so you just need to use a lower profile tyre on th 18 than you do on the 17. /rocket surgery.
    • I thought the same to start with. But then I thought it was one of those LCAs where the end of the ARB goes through a bushing in the LCA itself, instead of having an end link.
