Hey everyone I know this has been covered before I'm not asking if they fit I'm asking is there tuning issues because of the jet spray? Also what other high impedance injectors will fit? I'm on a budget and nit keen on spending a g on injectors also not to keen on cutting the loom to put a resistor in but if a have to I can

Cheers in advance

Here is some advice that wont help you f**k all. Everyone is on a budget. I budgeted $15k on driveline for mine. If you aren't keen on spending a g on injectors then you will really hate spending the other 5 g needed to make your car go fast.

Here's some advice that will help you. There is a seller on ebay called 1sickgt and they supply refurbished injectors. They have a better spray pattern than standard, a warranty, almost any size you desire and they are around the $500 mark to your door. They will refund you $60 if you send your old stuffed injectors in. Oh and they fit right in to your stock rail.

To answer your question, I have no idea but google seems to work pretty good.

the only tuning issue is with the std ecu (rechipped) that doesnt handle the idle too well. PowerFC handled them no worries with my 3lt, giving 10L/100kms average. Im not sure what they would do with a nistune though, might be best to speak to the tuner.

The rechip probably didn't have a good latency value in it for the 550s, hence the poor idle. You should be able to get a better result with Nistune. The main thing with the 13B injectors I thought was that they do have a fairly crappy spray quality so they're not as nice as any of the bazzillions of other options out there.

Iv already spent 4 on turbo and the rest I just need injectors to suite as I'm putting a td06-20g turbo on with 17 psi through it and the stock injectors just can't hack that. I don't see the point in spending a g on injectors for a street car with the ocational 1/4 mile. I'll try and get onto the bloke that rebuilds the injectors that's for the help. I prob should of listed mods sorry about that

6x 10ohm 10W resistors from Jaycar, some wire, some heatshrink, a diecast ally box.

I used one big fat power feed into the box, split to the 6 resistors with 6 individual wires out. Traced back the common injector power feed in the loom, cut it and fed to the resistor box. I also traced back all the injector earths, fitted a 6-pin plug and made a whole new injector harness with brand new Bosch plugs.

Some people wire the resistors into the harness and be done with it, personally I think that's well dodgy. I put the resistors in a stack of 3x2 with gaps in between and ally shims top, middle and bottom. I used thermal paste on all contact surfaces between resistors, ally shims and ally case. Just make sure you heatshrink all exposed wires so they can't contact the case.

Yeah I had a look around and I picked up sone denso Injectors for 450. I had the option of 600cc or 750cc as that's all they had in stock both come with low pulse width and are high impedance just need to replace plugs which one will be better iv put a deposit on a set but can easily change up for the same price would 750 be to big? I was told that there are very easy to tune to requirements plus leaves me with plenty of head room in the future especially if I want to upgrade engines I will be getting them on Tuesday so input would be very appreciated cheers

Looks very nice but how long did that take? And how much.

Might be worth spending the extra little bit on drop in injectors

Which bit? The resistor box would have been no more than 2hrs max start to finish with plenty of smoke breaks. Probably the same again for the harness but that was done in a couple of stages (leader lengths weren't determined and plugs weren't fitted until plenum was finished).

Total cost for resistor box and harness would have been not much more than $50 (resistors, ally box, wire, heatshrink, conduit, grommet, new injector plugs and 6-pin/1-pin earth/power plugs for the harness).

I've spent $$$ on injectors before and for the current goals I couldn't justify it when I could install fresh 440s for a fraction of the price of an aftermarket solution. I now also know the injector wiring is all mintox ;)

I just wanted the ease of dropping in and tuning and it worked out around the same price by the time injectors are cleaned and I buy all the required parts it's around 400. Just got to shop around and not but the first ones you see

Well you will pay for convenience and sometimes I do just that but the GTR injector upgrade cost me a grand total of ~$160 (had to get some new o'rings too).

Hopefully the handy DIY'ers out they realise it's not rocket doctory and this gives them some motivation to have a bash :)

I think it's a great idea of using factory parts there is nothing better as they are made for the car Nissan spent tones of money to get it right but it is convenience that wins most of the time just because it's easy

For me nowdays it's generally convenience>customer service>price, but if I can do it myself for a lot cheaper (and time permitting), I'll give it a bash.. at least that way I know which corners have been cut :P

Yeah I know what you mean iv built this car on my own it's more satisfying but I'm running out of time I need it done I would of liked to use gtr injectors but wasn't sure how many kw they can handle so I just went the easy option that I know will work

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
