Ive got offered a pretty awesome deal for these rims new.

Just been reading about them and ive heard good and bad stories about them, the owners of them say there good but peoples friends uncles parrots brothers crack after going over road works and stuff.

Whats the quality of these and whats everyone 2 cents about them???

A Pro is apparently they weigh like 8kgs o.O

the wheels will be used for daily use, long trips, some track work and some skid pad work. so has to be sturdy. although atm my GTT is only about 180 rwkw.

Im thinking these or drift teks, is there anything else that looks similar that people think id like???

any input will be greatly appreciated but please dont over or under exaggerate, this is my wallet after all :P

thanks guys,

Jarrad.

Been running 18x9.5 P45R's on the GTR for about 18 months now with no issues, and really why would there be issues.

I don't drive into kerbs, I dont go offroad, I don't drive through roadworks and potholes - So basically I drive like a normal person and not like a "P plater drift champion".

Wheels don't just crack by themselves, abuse generally does it.

Yeah not to keen on dish. That's why I like the other ones :D

Think 18 8.5 +25 would fit a gtt good right round??

Don't want to roll guards so 9.5 is out

Yeah Thats right smithy. I found it hard to believe they'd just break lol.

there a link to my 34. drifteks 8.5 +34 front and 9.5 +34 on the rear. 8.5 on the driftek will be concaved but on the rotas they will be flat faced. if you are getting rotas you will need a 9.5 +20(ish)

Hmm looks pretty nice. Well ive been offered p45rs in any size in 18s I want for 1200. 1100 for 17s delivered so can't really pass it up, and I want the same size right round so I can rotate Tyres. So what should I do?? I've been told the 17s by 9 will fit my car heaps better but I want 18s. Do you think the concave is worth getting 17s for?? Personally I don't know or care to much about flat or concave, but do they look shit in the eyes of a wheel whore?? Hah.

    • Thanks for the linkie. Certainly always a great deal of help when people post comparisons like these, but I think for now I'll stay away from any semi slicks. I did go ahead and order the sportcontact 7. My buddy has them on his modified A4 and he keeps saying how good they are. For my intended purposes these will probably work real well. I'll report on them once I had the chance to try them out
    • Talk about noisy. Even when I still had the Tomei under the car I could distinctly hear the tires rolling. And I doubt I ever will need maximum grip like on a track. My GTR will maybe never even see the 600hp mark and I need to get used to the car quite a bit before challenging the limits of its handling. For the next winter storage I think I will get a set of these rubber drive-on thingies that have a tire shaped base. Those supposedly really help prevent flat spots.
    • Well our climate is definitely way less hot overall and the weather can be quite picky at times. I just know that during normal road use or even spirited drives there is no way I'd be able to consistently stay in the operating temperature, and constantly changing the tire pressure would also be a royal pain.
    • Input shaft bearing. They all do it. There is always rollover noise in Nissan boxes - particularly the big box. Don't worry about it unless it gets really growly.
    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
