All skylines odometers are wound back how would a car that's nearly 20years old only have 75000kms

Your mate probably wound it back

And the conversion is still gonna cost close to $2000 for all the parts needed

What do you mean or what gear box, the only option is to put an rb25 gearbox in anything better will be more expensive and anything cheaper won't last as long

Wow what an effort of putting the pic up that shows initiative and FYI im using a smartphone so its quite hard typing down especially with a fat thumb and at work at the same time...sooo childish of yous did not expect to hear that from a 26 years old...ermmm and im new to all these as my profession is in Finance Industry not in mechanics :)

you dont have to be a mechanic to know

1. thats cars ugly

2. auto's are for poofters

3.your getting ripped off

+ 1

christalmighty what an ugly piece of shit. It looks like someone tried to turn it into a prelude...

"Don't build what you can buy" just buy a manual Skyline... and FFS... buy one that hasn't had a "Queer eye for the Leb guy" make over.

The only way the Kms on that car would be genuine, is because no one drives it for fear of being seen in public in that horrific rolling turd.

:rofl2:

180fwkw prelude that weights 1200kg? that would be FAST.

4th gen onwards weighed 1300kg+

R33 GTST is 1390ish so there's not a whole lot in it. The 33 would make mountains more torque too, and being a rear driver wouldn't sit there trying to tie itself in a knot with torque steer.

The 33 would flog it.

And +1 for that car being f**king ugly. All it's missing is lambo doors and you've got yourself a real Lebo Chariot there.

is 4th gen the last one?

If so then the car I'm talking about would have close to 1500kg with all the fibreglass, sound equipment and the fully sick 20inches chrome wheels

So it would have handled and accelerated like a truck

I work in finance, too, but I still know a horrible bag of arse when I see it, and when I look at those pics you posted I'm looking at a horrible bag of arse.

It is a fugly POS. Autos are f**ked. They are fat and slow. The bodykit is an abomination. The stripes look like red gaffa tape. The lights look like someone flogged them off an Audi and glued them on.

It's truly f**king horrible. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either blind, hates you or is a Lebo. Either way, they should not be listened to.

Gen 5 was last and weighed 1380kgs.

You know what's feking hilarious? That Prelude looks better than the 33 in question.

:rofl2:

That's really saying something.

100% sure, the bugger cant seem to drive manuals lol. Also the other profile just coped a ban, hence new one.

coming to the bbq tomorrow?

i wanna say yes but i am poor beyond a joke

i feel bad turning up with nothing and i cant even afford a 6pack of shit beer

yeah i'll have to agree but if that was for sale it would be a touch over $7500 even with the 249000kms on the body it currently has

    • Yeah, it's getting like that, my daughter is coming over on Thursday to help me remove the bonnet so I can install the Carbuilders underbonnet stuff,  I might get her to give me a hand and remove the hardtop, maybe, because on really hot days the detachable hardtop helps the aircon keep the interior cool, the heat just punches straight through to rag top I also don't have enough hair for the "wind in the hair" experience, so there is that....LOL
    • Could be falling edge/rising edge is set wrong. Are you getting sync errors?
    • On BMWs what I do because I'm more confident that I can't instantly crush the pinch welds and do thousands of USD in chassis damage is use a set of rubber jacking pads designed to protect the chassis/plastic adapter and raise a corner of the car, place the aforementioned 2x12 inch wooden planks under a tire, drop the car, then this normally gives me enough clearance to get to the front central jack point. If you don't need it to be a ramp it only needs to be 1-1.5 feet long. On my R33 I do not trust the pinch welds to tolerate any of this so I drive up on the ramps. Before then when I had to get a new floor jack that no longer cleared the front lip I removed it to get enough clearance to put the jack under it. Once you're on the ramps once you simply never let the car down to the ground. It lives on the ramps or on jack stands.
    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
