I have a pair of hks gt ss turbos for sale... They are used but in awesome condition.... These turbos have done bugger all km's as there is next to no shaft play.... Side to side or in out! I need these gone ppl. $1700 ono comes with the hks actuators. Reason for sale is I'm gonna chase 800- 1000hp and these just won't cut it. They will make 600hp plus apparently. They are very responsive and they pull awesome through the whole gear. My loss your gain. Very clean turbos..... You will not be dissapointed

Hey mate.

These are great turbos indeed, but infact are actually only rated to ~560hp and real world results on the dyno thread have shown these to be at thier limits at around the 340awkw (450hp) mark, the response & midrange is great making these the perfect turbo for street use according to some but i think 600hp+ is abit off the mark.

Anyways thats my 2c GLWS mate.

Yeah but you suffer more of a loss being four wheel drive yeah? So if you make 350kw at all four its about the same as 400kw rear wheel which would work out about 540- 560hp right..... I have seen somewhere someone making 600hp with these turbos in a thread somewhere I'm sure of it!

Im certainly not an expert in 2wd to 4wd dyno results difference but everything ive read in Drivetrain & Transmission Section points to the direction of 20-30kws tops and not a percentage like most people have been lead to believe.

Although most results have been with 98Ron & e85 has changed things up abit...

And then there is this.....Today, we are going to take a look at the smallest turbocharger currently offered by HKS, the GT-SS.  Officially, HKS rates the GT-SS turbo for 280ps, which is roughly 276hp.  It is worth noting that HKS power ratings are indicative of wheel horsepower, rather than flywheel horsepower.  In practice, the hks gt-ss has been shown to develop as much as 320ps, or around 315hp.  HKS currently offers the GT-SS in various engine specific packages to make installation and bolt on affair.  All GT-SS kits come with all required gaskets, bolts and fittings.

      For race cars, this is one part where I find having the roll cage bar having gone through a hole in the floor better than the build it up on a ledge inside... The Merc I help on, the main hoop ends are marked on the car, and the jack is marked... Jack goes under a few inches and lifts one whole side of the car up... Removes that fight for long slim jacks for race car duties!   My biggest issue for the daily drivers I work on, is my jacks don't go high enough. The jacks start out on a few blocks, jack it up, then start a second jack under it on more blocks, and then I can get an axle stand under it. My axle stands are presently in use, and are nearly fully extended. The car is sitting with barely more than a cm of clearance to get the wheel off the studs! Sarah's Kluger is the same, as it has an ungodly amount of droop available in the suspension and a distinct lack of good jacking points!

      Happy? Yep, my to do list is getting shorter and shorter. Either this light approaching is the end of the tunnel, or I'm about to be hit by a train... Ha ha ha   Also, Duncan isn't that far out of town that you need to make a multi day drive out of it. 😛

      I have more than enough digging, laying blocks, moving gravel, airrating, feeding and top soiling the grass, and setting up the veggie gardens growing some seedlings,  and then removing all the unused rock to keep me busy for the next few months at least,  hopefully the rain stops soon so I can get a few hours in this arvo, but, before that Sunday is washing day, is every body happy, you bet your life we are Nice country road day drives are a day off whenever I'm muscle sore from all the landscaping at the moment, but, more epic multiple day drives will start once the majority of the big jobs outside are completed
