Hey guys, i have an Nissan Skyline R34 GT arriving in December yet it currently has the factory nismo body kit.,

Im not a particular fan of the front bumper for the nismos and so iv been searching around for some nice front bumpers any ideas or nice bumper designs that would suit it.

i was keen on the Do Luck bumper yet iv heard alot of issues with being too low, need something practical :)

if you end up ordering from viva, pay the extra for shipping insurance. i ordered a lip that was broken in 2, no biggie i fixed it myself, but if you don't have the skills or time or cash to fix, you may as well pay the shipping insurance.

http://www.vivagarag.../index.php?c=87 check this out. Type R on page 3 looks good.

very gt-r like!

its nice imo go for something different that doesnt make it look like a gt-r :)

personally i would go for a top secret front bumper

not too sure .. mine really needs a new bonnet and front bumper though, it looks odd with sides/rear but no front

+1 to johnnoHaving the top secret bumper really sets it apart, I've got it on my pearl white 25gt(sedan) and bystanders still think its a gtr at times.Note: did remove the 's' badge and just have factory skirts/bumper

If anyone knows of any bonnets that are still painted ( would like to keep that subtle look) let me know :)

that has to be one of my favourite front body kit/bonnet/lip combo of all time .. that would look good with a top secret one too imo

Both of those are Top Secret front bars, the white one is a copy of the GTR front bar while the silver is the gtt designed one.

The gtr version (on the gtr) comes with a lip as well which finishes off the look, as at the moment it looks like something is missing.

I really do like the gtr front bumper but the only issue is u need the full kit for it too look good and proper,

otherwise its looks like a rip off version of a gtr in my opinion, i want some thing unique and different, i really did like the Do Luck yet they arent practical at all. Im kinda leaning to the top secret.

i plan on lowering it also would yous know if thats an issue at all?

Also some thoughts on what i plan on doing to it is, a nice front bumper (no final decsion yet..), Te 37s (glossy black), with black gtr bonnet, and possibly some simple skirts, the car is grey btw ???

yeah mine didnt come with a lip, ive been looking around like crazy to find one, also probably looks like somethings missing because it's a non-turbo > no FMIC. all in due time though  hopefully..

fuark thats cheap! yeah thats along the same thing im looking for.

As far as i know it's a top secret bumper (made for gtr) but fitted for a gtt.only the two end bolts were holding it up until the other week when i drilled a hole through one side so i could raise it up alittle because it was sagging alittle around the headlights.

[being second australian owner cant find any reciepts from previous driver buying or installing the bumper, so i can only assume it was put on in japan.]

this is top secrets gtr which is the lip i want to acquire but cant manage to find it anywhere, will the universal one fit maybe?

Im guessing it will, since it fits gtr u shouldnt have a problem,

its really similar anyway if u really want you could paint it a nice glossy black would look really nice on yours but i rekon keep looking.

For the price though it is really cheap so i though i show ya haha :)

yeah its a definate option for me now, just buy it > fit it on and in the event that i manage to find the real deal - boom bought and swapped.

just wish there were more options for side skirts/bumpers for the sedans as there are for the coupes.

i have been eying off this bonnet for half a year now, i dont mind the look of the east bear kits. but apparantley the bonnet will only fit to a east bear front :(

if you haven't browsed though rhdjapan, its got a few neat items lying around.

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
