1989 R32 GTS4 Manual. I wanted to turn this car into a track only car when it's rego expired. But the missus and I just can't afford that at the moment, and we don't have the space to keep it until we do. So as much as I hate to get rid of it (it was my first Skyline), it has to go.

~96,600ish on odometer but cluster has been changed. When I bought the car it had ~98,000 on it with a jumpy speedo. The cluster was changed for one as close to the same number as I could get at the time (~89,400). So the car itself is actually sitting on ~106,000

Pretty much stock except for:

K&K Coilovers front and rear (height and rebound adjustable). Currently lowered to 100mm lowest point on car (exhaust)

Pod Filter

Manual Boost Controller

3" cat-back exhaust

Mongoose immobiliser

Guard lips have been rolled on all corners (I kept the black plastic linings from the fronts though if the buyer wants them for whatever reason)

Currently sitting on 18" x 8.5" wheels with near new (95% tread) HiFly 801 tyres. Slight rash on the two left wheels, but nothing a bit of flat black paint won't cure. The wheels cost me $1500 and the tyres were $100ea If the buyer doesn't want these they can bring their own wheels and take $1,000 off the price of the car.

100,000km service done 4,500kms ago. New water pump, timing belt, tensioner, pulley and cam seals. As well as engine oil, filter and spark plugs being changed. Coolant and brake fluid changed at same time.

New pod filter 5,000kms ago.

New coil packs December 2010.

New front brake pads and rotors about 5 months ago. Rears still at 10mm.

Paint is weather worn and faded unfortunately as those red cars like to do :(

All boot trims, interior trims, panels etc are all there except the LHF air vent.

Front auto spoiler still works.

Comes with a spare wheel speed sensor so you can run it in 4WD or permanently in 2WD if you wish (currently has the 2WD sensor installed).

Rego runs out on 18/11 so selling unregistered. I haven't had a major look over the car, so I'm not 100% sure on what it needs for it's roadworthy. I know the CV boots are a definite thing to take car of, but apart from that I'm not sure.

could you post some more pictures of interior, front and any dents or scratches etc?

It was dark when I got home today so I didn't get to take the pics. I will try and get some tomorrow for you and post them.

What state are you located? Is this car currently in a condition to pass registration inspection? If not, what needs to be done?

I haven't had a major look over the car, so I'm not 100% sure on what it needs for it's roadworthy. I know the CV boots are a definite thing to take care of, but apart from that I'm not sure.

And yes, as stated. Posted in QLD, located in QLD. Thread says Brisbane Northside. Brisbane QLD.

Here are some exterior pics of the fade and any scratches etc, including the scratches on the front left wheel. I thought both left wheels were scratched, but i can't find anything on the left rear now... so maybe I just imagined it.

It was too dark AGAIN today thanks to the black clouds and rain, so the engine pics didn't turn out at all. I'll try them again tomorrow.

    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
    • Thanks for the replies everyone. Definitely a coolant push. Oil catch can is empty and always has been. As the engine is out now I'll be having a good look over things. I do have some detonation on the piston tops from a trigger issue back about 5 years ago. I felt it and shut off then bought a new ecu and changed the trigger. Never been an issue since. It never hurt the power, its made almost 80hp more since that incident but I will pull the bearing caps to take a look. If the bearings are damaged I will do a bottom end refresh. Head is being re conditioned at the moment and the block will be cleaned and checked to ensure it's flat. I'll go with a kameari gasket and see how it ends up. The other thing I'm not super keen on is the cylinder colours. I suspect this is from the inlet manifold. The plan will be to put it back together, retune and then stick a plazmaman billet inlet on it and retune. I'm happy with the power, if it makes a little more, then great, but I would rather just make everything more efficient at this stage.
    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
