How the hell was than not vettels fault? I only saw it once, but it looked clear that vettel cut in too soon and paid the price. stop whinging ya farkin sook. At least button's man enough to admit he screwed up.

Any links and help to setup?

LOLOLOLOLOL

Interesting season ahead.

Perez should have won.

Damn team played him twice. No pit and wrecked his flow on the radio.

It didnt work too well for me thru out the race, p1-p3 and qualifying + the 30 to hour before the starts were fine to watch tho.

Are you on racingfor.me?? theres a thread with few bits to the program to get it to work. but its really just giving you the streams that are avaliable on the web, since most of them are just whored all over the web and each website has pretty much the same links come race time.

In this thread you will have a few options and quiet often a decent link to a stream thats working. someone recently posted a hdtv thing i am yet to try since im using a mac

Going to need to work something out soon so i can just stream skysports.. i dont mind if i have to pay for it really. but another 5 years of trying to watch it on one is going to be shithouse..

most of us would be members i'd think...

there is also something else you can look into.

i did try that hdtv player just now and it seems ok, pretty much like foxtel with every channel possible.. i ran it on bootcamp for mac (windows partition) and it threw up a few virus things, but since i dont really use windows for anything important i wasnt bothered. probably a false virus thing anyway..

bit of a harsh penalty i think but HRT should take him out every race, worth a 20sec penalty for us to loose the tool

It beats me what footage the stewards had of the contact.

the camera angle is deceptive. From the rear it looked like SV cuts across on him, from the front that's clearly not what happened.

I found a link and I have to agree that looking at it from other angles, Karthikeyan moves over. SV was slightly squeezing him on the exit and could have moved back to the right of the track.

Just watched a few vids of the incident, both on-board and front/rear views... I still think Vettel could have easily got passed him without incident.

As you exit that right hander, you immediately aim towards the right of the track to set up for the left, which is what Karthikeyan was doing. If he had have continued straight he would've been off the track.

I agree back markers should do everything to get out of the way when being lapped, especially when they're not fighting for position with any other back markers, but in this case it's not that simple given the series of corners it happened in. Karthikeyan had just been lapped by someone else mid-turn, and would have been lucky to see Vettel coming up behind him immediately after.

The penalty doesn't really matter too much in the scheme of things, but in reality Vettel had a shit load of room to the right that he could have been in, instead of leaving nothing more than a car width on a track where a wheel outside the line could end the other guys race..

you say yourself he left a car width. how much more do you want for a bloke 3 laps down?

there's no rush to get back over to the other side of the track, but even if there was, you don't move over if there's another car still alongside you! pretty simple. and that's not what Karthikeyan was doing anyway, he just tucked in behind Vettel, and even went left again after that. He was still mid track by the braking zone, and not because he was being squeezed...

    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching

    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
    • From memory, on the R33 GTSt at least, while everyone says "It's not adjustable", I found when I changed clutches in mine, it just needed a small adjustment on the rod length. But be very wary here, as you could end up trying to push the pushrod in the master too far, or blowing out the slave.   Most likely though, if the master/slave isn't bypassing internally or leaking out, then the throw out is the wrong height compared to the fingers on the clutch, so when it moves to disengage the clutch, it isn't 100% disengaged. You can check part of this out too by jacking the car up, having the engine running, put your foot on the clutch and try to engage 1st gear. If it goes in pretty easy (Compared to the ground) and/or the wheels start turning a fair bit and it takes a bit too much brake pedal to bring them back to a stop, this is likely the issue.  I'm not sure if you can adjust the height of the forks etc in these though, it's been that long since I've touched any RB gearbox.
