Hey All,

I was just wondering for all you guys that have upgraded their stereos and speakers in their Stagea's (espcially S2 owners)...where did you mount your speaker crossovers...I'm considering buying new speakers (6.5" mids and tweeters)...ATM my current speakers (Boston SR60) are playing up (the tweeters fade - I get more sound from the left tweeter than the right..sometimes it goes back to normal 50/50 but it's getting annoying. So at the moment i'm constating playing with the balance to get equal sound). When my older bro installed my speakers, he simply shoved the crossovers in the doors (the passenger side has it's covers on and wedged in the armrest of the door skin, the drivers side the covers are off and has a plastic bag wrapped around it and wedged the same way - the covers were off because they couldn't fit in the area due to the electrics and handle hole thingy)...it's been working quite well in the last 2 years...just only in the last couple of months it's been playing up (I know ideally that having them in the doors is not a good idea but at the time it was the only spot I know).

I'm thinking that the crossover on the drivers side is playing up and I will test it to see if it's stuffed or is it simply loose wires. If all else fails then I will buy either a replacement crossover or new speakers.

I would like to know from you guys where did mount your crossovers?

G'day,

I've got lanzar 6.5 splits front and rear powered by a 1000watt lanzar amp, 2x alpine 12" type Rs powered by 3000watt lanzar amp. Crossovers fit nicely under the radio/cup holders.

I love lanzar as you can prob tell...

    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
    • Thank you so much for the help
    • Yes it is ATF. I quote @Duncan "it takes a good synthentic auto trans fluid like Castrol Transmax Z" It's not a diff. It's a transfer case. Totally different thing. Yes, fluid will come out the sender hole. No you do not really need to drain it. Just pull the old, quickly poke the new, clean up and top up. But realistically, you should probably take the opportunity to change it anyway.
    • Hey all. I’m looking on replacing my speed sensor on my R33 GTR. Will the center differential need to be drained, and if so, the center diff uses ATF fluid D? I found information on the transmission, front diff and rear diff. Can’t find a for sure answer for the center diff. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
