been working on a project the last few days. in short, its a device that allows the injectors to stay open longer. i made a video about it and id like everybody to watch it because i think its easier to explain that way.

the project isnt finished. what you see in the video is the heart of the project, all strung out on the breadboard. there is still much id like to do but i'd like to see how many people are interested

suggestions and questions are welcomed :)

looks interesting, i think this is very similar to how the emanage interacts with the injectors, but you knocked it up yourself for a fraction of the cost, which is cool. should need 6 of them hey? or were you thinking of tieing the injectors in together and batch firing them?

just a thought, i think it would be better if you could trim/shorten the pulse as well. the stock ecu goes rich under load so more fuel isn't the issue. with an aftermarket turbo you may need more fuel, but you would also need a way to clamp the AFM voltage so as not to hit airflow cut.

batch fire. as far as i know, this is how a stock ecu fires the injectors.

i agree. being able to shorten the pulse width would be more effective and is certainly something to look into. this way, its less likely for the user to run their engine lean, but i will see what i can do for you :)

i plan on having the circuit turn on through a series of user adjustable gates (adding more potentiometers). more gates may be added to provide a series of smaller 'step ups' in the injector pulse

please tell more more about this air flow cut. where can i find more info on it? does it mean that the afm can only measure so much air before it is overwhelmed?

ive made it possible to shorten the pulse width now. and ive improved the smoothness of pulse width changes so that the pulses dont leap up in steps. now they have a constant, gradual change

is there anything else i should do to the circuit?

looks cool mate.

so your device would modify the pulse width a certain amount over the stock pulse width?

i.e. your device doesnt simply control pulse width based on the airflow, it would still be taking into account teperatures, load, etc. because its base line is coming from the computers pulse width?

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
