I have been thinking about buying a V35 coupe for a while now and it has been a pretty long term goal since I was a fair bit younger. I stil feel being on my green P's, I'm probably still a little young to own a V35, so this is why I have come to ask for any advice. I have been driving a Mitsubishi 380 around for a while and while its an awesome car as far as reliability goes. It was mainly bought for a job I had to do away from home and I needed something reliable. But I really would love to own a V35 as my drive. However, the cost of servicing and repairing a vehicle is for me, a really important factor to take into account. At the cost of around $16k to import, it is obviously a fairly affordable vehicle to buy for a younger person.

However, what I really need to know is if this is a reliable vehicle that is going to be fairly cheap to service and maintain as far as repairs. Obviously I know i wont be getting a car like a Camry, which costs next to nothing to keep running. But at the same time, I wont be able to afford throwing a grand a month at a car just to keep it ticking over.

So any advice, suggestions and experiences with these vehicles would be muchly appreciated. What sort of problems do they have? And what can I expect from a vehicle like this? Should I be getting one at all?!
