erik
turbo has already been highflowed, pretty sure it is a bush bearing not replaced with ball bearing internals. It has a bit of shaft play and i wanna pull it apart because it's been left open with nothing stopping dirt and shit getting into it. Also i have a mechanic mate who is giving me a hand to rebuild it, he thinks they're pretty easy to rebuild. Questions: anyone done this? Where can i buy a kit/seals etc? I've found a good write up for doing gtr turbos so i'd imagine it's pretty much the same? bubbabooga
Their pretty basic once you have them apart and understand how they work etc I've rebuilt 2 vl t3 turbo's one a high flow, both bush bearing. I sourced the kit off eBay Perhaps pull it down and take the Bearings and seals to a turbo shop and order the parts to suit. Make sure you clean the grove the seals run in really well too.
