Hey folks,

My first Skyline discussion item :) specifically I was looking at different R34 Skylines recently and I have found that the badge on the back is not necessarily on all of them and the big "S K Y L I N E" is not necessarily printed on all of the ones I have seen despite them being pretty much the same car (stock GTT's without bodykits mostly) - Does anyone know why this is or is it simply people taking the badges etc off themselves due to bodykits or something?

I am concerned it may be something a bit more sinister for people buying a car i.e. is the lack of badges and/or "S K Y L I N E" indicative of the boot or panels being replaced due to crashes?

Stock rear bar comes with 'skyline' in silver or gold lettering, a lot of people remove all or a combination of the rear badges - personal preference. Different rear bars such as the Altia/GTR/S-Tune bars have 'skyline' embossed in the bar itself.

Badge removal can be for a cleaner look, or due to a respray for whatever reason. Have a look for other tell tale signs such as over- spray, different paint behind the bar or a slightly different colour in different light/angles.
