iv been looking at a lot of seats to throw into my r33 , i have recently had an ssv ute and i was wondering if it would be possible to chuck the ssv seats into the r33 , what would need to be done ?

would a universal rail be all i need to get them in , or would there need to be a lot of custom work done, basically in a nut shell could it be done ? any one experimented with different seats as such

cheers

in a nut shell yes, anything can be done...

The universal rail would need to be mounted to your 33 rail feet, and then the seat fitted somehow to your universal rail...

why do you want to do this???

then you'll need to replace the seats from your ute?

sorry to clarify, i had the ssv ute for work and sold it as it wasnt big enough , but yes i loved the seats , they were comfy as . i was looking at buying the recaro coppies from just jap , but i thought id be different.

so what part will i need to buy . a universal rail made for r33 ? and then some how do the fabricating myself

i will measure the width of the ssv seats before i purchase to make sure they fit etc just want to know what rails to get and possibly where

thanks

universal rails are just that 'universal' not made for any specific car or seat...

I use bride rails, rpm side plates and spsarco full bucket seat, so I cant guide you step by step on your goal...

but I can say universal rails can be kinda shit and flimsy, get decent ones or get bride or custom one made up...

Bride rails are made for specific car models and are a bolt in thing...

but you would still need to attach the ssv seat to the rail somehow...

the two easiest options for you is to either:

1. Get a rail that bolts into into an r33 then fabricate mounts that bolt to the seat

2. Get a rail that bolts to the seat then fabricate brackets that bolt to the floor.
