weight fluctuation is normal Mel, I am currently floating between 68.5 and 70.5, don't be to concerned about it at the moment.

This is true, hydration is the main culprit. You can lose up to 4kg in water weight, but you can also retain a lot of water with a diet high in sodium. My weight has been a steady 83kg for the past week due to eating the same and staying hydrated.

Keep in mind though, muscle weighs more than fat (as we all know) so as your measurements will go down due to shedding the top fat layer, your muscles will also firm up creating more mass. You may actually gain weight once you reach a certain point.

Nah I am talking 5-6kg of fluctuations lol. Think something I was eating didn't like me so have cut out all dairly, egg and soy (I know I am intollerany to dairy, soy and mildy allergic to egg protein) and even tho I wasn't having much at all I cut it out and in a day dropped down to 72 from 77. On a lean and green diet at the moment to see how things go with that. The amount I am training and eating I should be dropping way more than I am and you don't gain muscle that quickly so nutting out what the issue is. I don't have a diet high in sodium, never have. And I drink the same amount of water every day which is 5L (1 per kg of body weight and 1 per hr exercise) general rule of thumb is 2L per day but getting more complex into the nutrition/training recommendation side of things it is 1L per 25kg of body weight and 1L per hr of exercise.

  • 3 weeks later...

Ok so new Update:

Weight: 68.9kg (down 4.7kg since the end of the first week but down 7.4 in total)

Chest: 84cm (down 5.5cm)

Waist: 74cm (down 7cm)

Hips: 86cm (down 9 cm)

Thigh: 49cm (down 3cm)

Arm: 28cm (down 2cm)

Not bad considering I have been a complete Stress head, getting jack all sleep and have missed a few sessions because I went away for a weekend and my partner came down to visit the weekend before plus I Rollerblade and the last week haven't been able to because my ankles are swollen but I think I have found the solution to that - Just need to get hold of some foam lol :)

Muscle definition in my arms and legs is starting to look awesome! Not too fussed about the weight at the moment as the cm are coming off and my strength and muscle tone is definitely improving!

See attached pic so far... Sorry they are shitty pics!

    • Hello Liam - HA - somewhere in flies - possibly I have an update, but I have been so busy, projects have taken a back seat to getting business back on track.  I will let you know the outcome, but I think I am going to go for the 8HP,  CHEERS.  ELVIS
    • Thanks Joshuaho96, yes - as someone else also suggested, the 8HP seems the 'smart choice' - HA - and ZERO to do with cost, but I am sure 8 speeds will be better than 6 speeds - HA - maybe.  I will purchase a new 8HP,  Thanks.  ELVIS.
    • Nobody said anything about getting a "...cheap Falcon box..."- it was JUST a question about a specific transmission.  And YOU may have a problem with not enough $ - HA - I do NOT - so please keep your comments like you are some financial guru to yourself.  BUT - much appreciated re the cost of a new 8HP and I twill probably be the way I go.  Thanks.  ELVIS.
    • Most people I know in the BMW world are swapping 6HPs for 8HPs. The 6HP has a big issue with one of the clutch drum bushings wearing out shockingly early which leads to them going into limp mode going into 5th/6th gear as the oil pressure loss from the worn bushing causes clutch slip. Even with the adaptations in shifting the TCU can't bump line pressure enough to keep the clutches from slipping and burning. I've personally looked at a 335d with 6HP28 with one owner and ~90k miles on it and the transmission adaptations were way out of spec and even though it nominally drove ok I'm confident it would have needed a full rebuild sooner than later. Other than that they're fine, but the 8HP doesn't really have weird issues like this to my knowledge and they're in everything these days so pulling them out of crashed cars isn't too hard.
    • There is an ABS pump and a few solenoids. You could trigger the front/rear solenoids with a pressure bleeder attached with a Consult 2.
