Whinning Noise From Rear

Hey guys last night after a little spirited mountain drive I noticed a Whinning noise coming from the rear, now it only occurs when I let go of the accelerator and roll, if I accelerate it disappears. Any ideas please? Thanks

I had a similar issue, but it stopped as soon as I told the girlfriend to gtfo. lol.. not srs.

Can be all number of things, most likely your diff though. Other possibilities are driveshafts or wheel bearings. Definitely in the drivetrain somewhere given it disappears under load.

Sounds like the Diff pinion bearing or something.... Check the oil condition and level and if that doesn't help then I'd be seeing a diff place about it

That is a question for a diff specialist. You may want to upgrade the diff or just get the standard bearings done, really depends on what you use the car for and what you prefer...

Call a diff place and they will be able to help, unless there is someone on here that works for a diff place you are likely to get all sorts of prices which may not be accurate!
