Anyone know if you can get replacements for the center link in the steering. The steering has about 1.5 inches of play.

We tightened everything up on the car today and center link looks worn and has a lot of play. Anyone replaced this part on their C210

thanks

In addition to the link, did you tighten the nut in the steering box that forces the worm drives together? A quick and dirty way of reducing steering slop.

Did that thanks it helped tighten it right up! just gotta replace all the worn bits now.

Anyone replaced the centerlink? Looks like mine is gone and need of replacement I read somewhere that the 200b one will fit but can't find the source anymore.

If anyone knows where to find a replacement it would be much appreciated.

R30 Skyline non power steering coupling should do the trick, similar if not identical steering box to C110/210's etc.

Thanks! i'll check that out.

I found the part number i need at least.

Part# 48560-S0102

    • It never really happened in Australia until more recently. They first started coming in in the 90s and most people wondered what these weird looking cars were, and that's about. There was a little bit of fanboi stupidity after F&F. But more recently, now that you seldom see a Skyline on the road (because they have either all been drifted into trees or stashed in sheds and never driven), I'm getting regular instances of massive thumbs up and smiles, a few guys wanting to take photos (and asking politely!). It's kind of good. Makes me think I've done the right thing by keeping the car as my daily across the 25 years I've had it. You still get dropkicks gesturing for you to do a burnout. Idiots.
    • Ok so the other test that seems easy enough (with the right equipment) would be to check what pressure the pump produces when its on. If its in spec its probably safe to just replace the pressure switch, and if not it makes sense to replace the whole unit. Does that sound sensible? EDIT: Do you have a spare pressure switch you want to sell?
    • Decided to remove the clutch booster as it’s more things that can go wrong and it frees up a lot of room and means less vacuum lines running around the engine bay  old one out and on the floor  new one ready to go back in  installed! I haven’t swapped the slave onto it yet, I will wait until the engine and box are in to see if I need to change the line or any thing
    • Yeah exactly the switch unit just needs to be designed with those numbers (or thereabouts, obviously the high one is the more dangerous if you don't get it right). It would be worth contacting FPG, they are pretty responsive and might be able to add to their lineup with you M35 information, the have 80% sorted already from the GTR one. https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/
    • Have you explored this possibility further? I've been quietly watching this story unfold, early on I thought seems like bad fuel.
