im on the RHDJAPAN website, for their parts for sale they show the schematic from NISSAN FAST - it shows all the other part code's but that joint needs the SKU number of the drawing and the SKU part number in order for them to find the correct part for me..

for example, heres a pic from nissan fast of a skematic http://www.rhdjapan.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/5e06319eda06f020e43594a9c230972d/8/4/84902-04u10.jpg on here, which part displays the SKU number of the schematic ?

As ive got a heap of part code's written down but they need the SKU number from the schematic aswell..

cheers

Hi

The part code you refer to 84902M boot carpet has a part number as shown in your pic link of 84902-04u10, but the other choice it could be (assuming its for your gtr) could also be 84902-04u00, which is probably just the old (superceded) part number. Nissan and other car makers work like that by just changing a digit or two, and sometimes whole part numbers. I dont understand what that would mean by SKU number from fast.

The only other thing they could be referring to is your vin of the car so they can check to see if its the right part for your car. 84902m is the 'basic' part number which would tell that what kind of part it is. That part code has 10 options in R32 depending on what car it is.

Hope that helps you,

hey yep that clears that up - is anyone here good with nissan fast ?

ive just downloaded and setup fast, and got it running all good... but when i go to select a model of car (there is a CD button to select and it brings up a heap of models of cars), there isnt any skylines,

Firstly it seems i must add a 'Model series' in nissan fast else all the buttons are just blank, once i enter a model series then all the buttons appear. There is only 42 different models to choose from, no skyline series at all

ive muddled up somewhere in the in installation process i think

any help appreciated

cheers

Firstly it sounds like you either haven't got all the necessary files with the cars, as mine has 188 options, though Im running mine off a dvd.

Secondly if you enter a 'model series' it takes away the cd button on mine.

If you mean the buttons below the words 'VIN-code' and 'Model series' then yes they will be blank until you either manually select a model by typing in a model series or selecting a model from the cd icon, then the words 'body' 'engine' 'size' 'drive' etc will appear.

BTW R32-R34 are on lines 40-42 and clearing state the model on my version.

Make sure you have the correct file in the database and have told fast where to "look" for those files if you have got them on your pc.

    • Working through possible solutions of converting my mechanical speedo.    Anyone know what type of speedo sensor the factory r34 gtr getrag has ? what the output is ? I assume its not a VSS and more a voltage like earlier speedo sensors ? Can an ECU read it ?

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
