I just found somthing interesting on the web. I was really shocked in how they did it. I don't want to give it away but just see for yourself. I want to convert my R33 :worship: This is the link http://custompinoyrides.com/2010/10/nissan-skyline-r33-to-r35-gt-r-drift-car-conversion-by-a-toy-body-kits-the-buildup-part-1/

haha anytime

yeah that so ghey re facebook sinno..can anyone recommend a decent online photo storage site? really over facebook disabling accounts and not allowing me to share albums etc

Not sure about Picasa, but sometimes photos uploaded with Photobucket can't be seen by everyone - it just displays "Posted image". It does this sometimes with flickr as well, but not as often.

That's why photographers use Flickr mate, so their work can't be nicked as easily. I say "as easily" because you can still right click > "save as" on people's photos, you just have to click to expand and then click "all sizes". You've posted some pretty decent pics in the photography section

thats actually tempting ian, dug up an old photobucket account i had forgotten about.

cheers for the tips re flicker Matt, i had been stealing the ones i like using the snip tool up to now, will have to try your method from now on..uploading ALL my cruise pics EVER to an album on le bucket now.

let me know if its works

I use imgur to upload images, no logins needed. Simply drag and drop an image from your computer onto the imgur homepage and press upload lol.

uploading the video now. "Uploading your video. 10 minutes remaining."

yeah that works really well. super facepalm as snipping the images takes MUCH longer..i will have to experiment as i think a few flickr streams didnt allow me to do that even in 'all sizes' mode but i could be wrong.

What shits me about flickr is how fast i will be clicking away through a stream and it will get stuck ..just frozen on that little animation waiting for the next image to show. You need to click back, then all sizes, then back again before you can kick start it all over again.

farken.

uploading a bunch more to photobucket now, only annoying thing is the dated looking interface and the stupid videos ads that play while your waiting for 300 plus pics to go up.

will check out imgr next, cheers sinno

Here's the video.

Don't worry Eddie, only people who have the link can view it :P

and anyone who wanders into the wasteland video thread or anyone on my facebook friends list... :whistling:

thanks for the upload!

LOL, , I realised after this video that I am a good SPORT. Bring it on. :woot:

That you are, Eddie. There was no way that egg was going to end up in just one spot, it was going everywhere!

Yeah Pat it's pretty clunky hey. It's possible to set your albums or certain photos to prohibit downloading on Flickr (in the rights management settings), so if that's the case then you won't be able to copy them; but you can still always use your Print Screen key :P Not that I would advocate the blanket copying of other people's work, especially not for redistribution - those pics you copy should only be used for personal/private use and viewing as I'm sure you do.

Having said that, I've noticed one or two of my photos have ended up on FB pretty easily and I had no idea they were there until someone tagged me or linked me to them. At least my signature was still on the pics.

yeah i totally get that frustration, if someone is using art that you created for personal aggrandisment (why SAU no has autocorrect?) or material gain i would be mega pissed!

I think getting tagged on facebook is different though, it shows the person was doing it for social purposes, to share the picture with 'close' friends and even provide you with another way for people to recognise your talents (as long as your watermark is still there).

I make sure i never crop out digital signatures on art work i 'steal' and certainly cant see how sharing them on facebook could harm the original shooters take home income.

As for flickr, skipped through a few photo streams last night, definitely not all of them allow you to 'save as' in the all sizes section :( Im glad the french snapper i linked in here does though. His work is incredible!

(just checked, forgot to post link earlier)

    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
    • BTW I measured the jack I have, it is 70mm at the saddle but you only have about 700 until it returns to 150mm high at the cylinder so it is good but no magic bullet.
