I am finally selling my baby to upgrade to something a little more practical. This car has been babied all its life, I guarantee this is one of the best S13s you will lay eyes on.

Read on for more info...

1992 Nissan 200SX (180SX)

Although the car looks identical to a 1992+ Nissan 180SX, it is actually badged as a "200SX". This is because the export versions of the 180SX to Europe and some other select countries were called "200SX"s.

This particular car was originally sold in Hong Kong. It was imported in 2002 by its original owner (personal import) when he moved here to Australia. I purchased the car in January of 2003. It remains in its immaculate original condition, even after 12 years, because of its careful owners. You'll find the details below - you'll also note some of the cool subtle differences between this car and the Jap 180SXs you may be accustomed to seeing.

Engine

* Final generation of the 1.8L CA18DET - more powerful and efficient than the jap versions of this engine, with a power output equal to that of the first generation SR20DETs (I have the technical details available if you are interested!)

* Completely stock standard - never boosted, raced, or abused.

* GENUINE 70000kms

* Serviced 200kms ago (serviced every 5000kms since I have owned the car)

* Major service 8000kms ago, including dyno-tune and injectors cleaned.

* Dyno-tuning mapped to 105 rear-wheel-kilowatts (standard jap spec CA18DET 180SX puts out only 83 rwkw), map is available.

* Factory installed diff. oil cooler

* Anti-lock brakes

* Engine warmed up for 10-15 minutes before each and every run, and idled for 2 minutes before shutting off, to reduce thermal stresses on engine and prolong engine life

* All gear changes made before 3000rpm to prolong engine life

Body

* White duco in excellent condition.

* No scratches, scrapes or dents.

* No rust!

* Rear wing has been removed by a professional body shop as it was cracked and unsightly.

* Sunroof

* Unique front and rear spoiler brackets which accomodate the larger Euro-style number plates

* Recently completely rustproofed - under warranty

* Washed every week, waxed every month

Interior

* Interior in excellent condition.

* No cracks or wearing in the trim panels.

* Dash panel is covered with a custom dashmat.

* Indicator stalks are not faded.

* An original Nissan 240Km/h speedo, with no speed limiter at 180km/h.

* Air-conditioning

* The same interior as 94+ jap models (patterned velour).

* An original Nissan digital push button controlled dimmer for the dash lights.

* Recently installed Cyclops Paralyzer P775 alarm+immoilzer system with remote central locking, back-up battery, remote boot release, and turbo timer interface - under warranty

* Power steering/windows/mirrors

* Original Nissan seatbelts which comply to Aust standards, even has covers over the rear seatbelt rolls.

Rolling gear

* Original Nissan 15" 7 spoke alloy wheels - the wheels have been specially aniodised in the original grey colour, so they still appear new.

* Four new Yokohama A539 high-performance tyres.

Documentation and registration

* All original import and compliance documents

* All receipts

* Original Owner's Manual and Factory Service Manual

* Nissan Parts CD and microfiche films for easy access to parts numbers

* NSW registered until April 2005 (12 months)

Pictures, location, pricing and further details

You can view pictures of the car at the following address:

These pictures were taken last year before the rear spoiler was removed, but gives you an idea of the car. I will try to publish some more up-to-date pictures soon.

The car is currently located in Newcastle, NSW, but I am down in Sydney often.

The asking price is $9800, which a steal for a car in this condition - I guarantee you that the first serious buyer to see the car will purchase it.

Best wishes in your search for a great car!

    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
