got a reaper up top of my arm, started on my sleeve, still have 6 hours ahead just to finish the shading on him, but hey be worth it :D

after this is done in next fortnight focus is back on car parts again haha

On builds just acquired all my parts required to finish off my first stage of engine mods..

Doing decent service on it before ebc, cam gears and tune happens next month... Heaps keen!

What EBC did you end up going with or still deciding?

Do you still need those cam gears Ant?

what else do you need for your future -9 upgrade? i have a few parts lining around (new injectors, can prob get you my old(but new) vipec ecu cheap too)

Hey mate, don't need the cam gears anymore sorry mate, ended up getting some new tomei ones for a really good price, they turned up today.

Ah roughly for the -9 upgrade would be adding:

Turbos obviously ha

Different ecu

Injectors and pump

Clutch

Think that's about it, kinda gong/hoping for a simple but effective build.

Yea those parts sound interesting mate if they would suit the above?

What about oil pump for oil starve ant??

Don't you need lots of supporting mods in a gtr?

Yea havent looked into whats required for oil etc yet too much, i know there will probably be a few little extra supporting mods to do when the build happens.. but at this stage mainly concentrating on whats required to make my power goal, then go from there as its still quite a way off.

Not sure if i need to go crazy with it though as its not a track car, if i was making it for track then yea i would go crazy with that stuff.

The nismo injectors are 600cc - perfect for that power range unless your going e85. Also, I lied - It's a link G4 ecu not a vipec (essential the same) that i gave to Paul - i'll ask him if interested in selling it

100,000km service wouldn't hurt either.

Crazy - Nitto/Tomei pump, cam baffels, 8-9L race pan, race pan baffles/gates, oil restrictors turbo/head, catch can, oil cooler

moderate - billet gear replacement, sump baffels, catch-can, oil cooler, 1L overfill

basic - n1 pump, sump baffels, 1L overfill

    • Yes, I had ordered the spherical bushings at the same time as the rest. I have high hopes for the anti squat reduction kit.
    • Make sure you use the spherical bushes** on the lower arms, ifyou do that. ** at least, if not the whole replacement lower arm.
    • The tap for coolant flow control will be stuck open. It's not just the air door motor that dies.
    • Not really, but the heater box is pretty simple mechanically....if the door is one way the air bypasses the heater core and if it is the other way it goes through it for warm air.  If you are sure the actuator you moved manually is for the heater mix (there would also be one for output air direction) then I'd take the heater box out and see what is happening (you'll have to regass and re-coolant the systems afterwards) BTW pp724 onwards from the GTR workshop manual cover the system in good detail, it is probably worth checking. I think the IAT sensor might be a problem electrically for getting cold (if you got 24 error code not -24 it thinks the incoming air is -50c) and it covers how to test the sensor (although most likely it is either not plugged in or a wire is damaged)
