his new S15 is putting out some nice numbers atm, i have not seen it since he has put a top mount in and had it tuned so i cant wait, i think he is hitting the drags tonight last time he ran a 12.9 on standard turbos with a FMIC and a full exhaust + coilovers as his only mods, i think he may get mid 12s now with the new setup and tune

Yep seen all that! Goose :P

hey man i had driven a manual for like 4 days when i did that haahah, blame Jason for telling me to wind it up hhahaha. have had one of my leb m8s at work teach me the art of launching a GTR as several of his m8's have them and there is a special way to launch them without bogging them, now i just have to put it into practice :woot:

Make sure you have money to fix broken parts first! That's what i will be doing as the clutch i have wont slip now creating a weak link somewhere else in the drive-train................ There is a 34GTR 1/4 mile thread that shows a lot of launching!

leb special method of launching a GTR:

Turn Stereo on

Put on mad DOOF DOOF musiz

Adjust stereo to 11

Left Foot on clutch

Right Foot on Accelerator

Bounce off limiter

left foot off clutch

Pronouce "was that fully sic or what, Bro"

if you have a stock clutch you will burn it out pretty quick doing that im pretty sure..

im hoping to change mine to a nismo one in the future, the stock clutches are one of the weakest points on a gtr.

Im not sure what clutch it has in it, its rly heavy tho from what i have been told, i dont think its the stock one but i have not driven a GTR with a stock clutch to compair.

Apart from the drivers  haha just kidding, NO stock clutch is designed for any more than going to the shops lol

The weight of the clutch doesnt tell much of the story, mine will be lighter than stock (Which i think will be weird)

Chookies NPC feels pretty good!

anyone used bowers suspension in merewether before? saw they were recomended on another forum, gave them a quick call and the guy seemed to know what he was on about, had worked on skylines before and seemed to know abit about them.

they can fit coilovers, do height adjustments, camber settings and wheel alignment for $350 which i thought was very reasonable aswell.

anyone been to them before? or can anyone recomend another suspension place?

Sheeeet man, i cant remember if they had a reeeeally bad rep or it was someone else :/ You would need to ask around! Price seems fair enough as a full wheel align is around 100 these days, the BC's come set at a good height but yours might need some stuffing around with your guards etc..........

Yeah good idea, sniff it out yourself and make sure they have a hoist that wont smash your front bar after the alignment! Even show them and tell them itll be lower obviously.

Also, your font and text seems to be going weird, you on phone or PC?

yea i will do.

im actually going to havea problem getting my car on my brothers hoist for servicing once lowered, his hoist arms are only just clearing my skirts atm.. was thinking i may need to get a low profile jack for the front, and maybe get it higher before putting it onto the hoist, but im not sure how that works ha...

yea im on work laptop, noticed its being going funny, really not sure why?.. haha

    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
