well my GTR may have a boost issue, took it for a drive at lunch and it didnt seem to hit boost properly, i finish work at 4:30 so ill drive her home and im just hoping it was just not being able to open it up enough, display was saying it was boosting but it didnt feel like it was pulling like it should.

Well if you think there is a problem lay off the boost until its checked.... Mine felt similar when the injectors started to block and it started leaning out, you could have any number of issues or nothing at all BUT dont test it the hard way!

Dude its a modified car, shit is gunna go wrong and you said you were out thrashing last night...... Look at the run of luck i had!

Teething problems are going to happen man, you could just have a dodgy vacuum line, blown cooler piper (or leaking) or a million other things BUT all fixable!

Dead cat?

So what your saying gummy is that when I most started slipping I shouldnt of kept "testing" it's durability for the next month? Lol

You on the rums already?

Maybe Matt should have listened to his own advice...His clutch welding abaility wouldn't have been near as good.

Adam, know exactly how you feel. Stay with it mate...it will be all worth it in the end

Yeh if its something simple then all sweet, but if its a rooted turbo or something thats a pain in the ass..... i wasnt thrashing it down old pac didnt take it over 5k rpm sinec run in service has not been done yet, was a slow run.

yeh, well after 10.5k on engine, service and radiator, im over having issues lol so is my wallet.

I still have a stock engine and i think i have spent 25-30k lol

And THEN you will find something else to break, everytime you make something stronger you introduce a weaker link somewhere........ It part of the fun man!

    • Yes the gear for the R33/34 is different, it is red and has a different number of teeth. My part didn't come with that gear though, so I don't know how many teeth are on the red one. You'd have to reuse the 260RS/R33 gear, as long as it's not destroyed.   Haha, as unfortunate as that might be it was working fine for about the first 1500km I've had the car for now.
    • Update all   thanks to the workshop manual, it lead me back to checking fuses as mentioned central locking and door open lights worked when acc was switched on. diagram attached shows two points of power 1. ACC and 2.  Batt with the later being fused (#28) I did check the fuses using a multimeter but I must have stuffed that up also. Went back and checked the batt fuse in interior fuse box and you wouldn’t believe it… a blown fuse. replaced fuse and everything is now working as it should including the climate control   thank you all with your positive insight and knowledge.
    • Where is the warning "That this thread is super old"   I just went into a 5 year old thread, went to do a reply, and couldn't see anywhere obvious a warning of it being super old
    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.
