Hey mat,

Emma has told me her dad won't be in gosford for the night before Wakie! Do younknow if there's any vacant places for Thursday night???

Ruxis, just do an early morning run to Wakie...

Theres bugger all traffic at 4am in the morning, you'll hit sydney at 6am, miss most of the traffic when the sun is rising and get to Wakie by 8ish.

Thats probably when I'm leaving. The old man is probably tagging along with me to come spectate, he used to have a stack of old cars like a couple of worked LJ Torana's, VK Group A Brock Commodore etc...wish he didnt sell them. He's even been talking that he wouldnt mind doing a track day in the S15 haha.

Also, found out my aunty sold an immaculate 260z (with original bonnet scoop - rare as f**k) for $2000 several years ago because it had engine problems. Facepalm.jpg. My uncle did something similar when he sold his SLR5000 Torana for bugger all (ages ago due to packing the shits from getting hassled/defected by the police all the time).

Moral of the story, don't sell nostaglia vehicles, HOLD ON TO THEM haha.

Could do man but that's f**kin early to then race around all day and I'm only going for the Friday.

I could stay with my folks but that's a 3 hour drive still. Suppose leaving at 5 isn't to bad.

See what happens. Could even stay at a town near ghoulburn

Don't want to modify the stock rail to get my larger bore injectors in - so i'm ordering a 11mm billet rail.

Just wanted to know if the stock regulator can be removed so i can reuse it or if i had to get a new one. Been in the middle of butt f*ck know where atm, i can't just go look at the car to find out ...

Ohhhh.... Aftermarket are cheap enough if you cant use it anyway man!

As in motels etc? Should be plenty man! Jump on Wotif and have a look, should be able to get a cheap room for a night with a park for the car etc........

I think the adrenalin from racing around the track will keep you going haha.

Matt, I've sent you a PM

and just realised you have organised someone to do the paint, so my PM will be irrelevant haha!

Yeah all good! Thanks for trying tho.........

Yep fouled plugs will give you a nice miss as you come on boost.

i'd be asking y did they foul too! you may be running rich down low - i.e. time for new o2 sensors.

    • I thought Australia got rid of the "drag dodgy fuel up to 91 RON with ethanol", which is why all E10 advertise as "up to 94 RON" ? Anyway I put E10/91 in the missus' Mazda because she empties the tank weekly, when all my cars get 98RON. tl;dr - turbo - 98 RON, if you can't afford that, sell it and get a commuter car (or tune your car for 91, which no one does).
    • Yeah i found that alot of parts can be wrong or "very" hard to get the real right one. I already bought some brakes years ago on me "old" GT calipers and they were wrong too 😄  I told them too. Even send them pictures...but they said "EBC catalogue has them on my car... So i dont know what their answer will be. I call monday them and let them know that they are really not on my car. If they were they would be already on a car...
    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
