Just saw this now so probably to late to get a lift in Big Bird

Well back from the mechanics, and the verdict is as he thought, turbo leaking oil into the intake, messing up the AFM, causing it to missfire dump fuel and foul the plugs, fix is replace turbos.

And also with the stock GTR air box and the side pipe, it is used for induction but its blocked off standard, it has 2 pressue clips and the restrictor pops out to give u massive air flow, i can hear my car sucking in more air and its fluttering also now that i have taken it out pics are attached.

T4NK, I have a contact in Japan that you can use to get your parts....

You can get stuff a lottttt cheaper than from JustJap....

For example: I got my Tomei N2 Oversize Oil Pan for $350 incl.postage and JustJap sells them for $800ish.

All the stuff Ive bought has worked out cheaper than Nengun + RHDJapan as well

That's a lot of coin for turbos

Have you looked at getting yours redone?

Might be cheaper with the same result but as the saying goes costs nothing to ask.

Don't sell the car man unless it's to Jarred when he has the coin :)

For once Benji might be onto something here.

First very usefull post I've seen ever from you

Price on some 550cc or higher injectors for a 25NEO please

Oh and have you finished the drive yet Ant?

Hope the car is still in one piece

Was up around Gresford way last week and sections of the road are utter crap.

Apart from the bit between Gresford and Vacy that has a few rises and dips in the road. The truck gets very light in the front end at 100 through that section.

If you went just a bit faster in a car I reckon you could get air easy enough

Found these, talking to the guy atm about shaft play ect, getting some pics and a video of the shafts sent to me since they are in melb, if they are good ill take them i think, 10,000km or less on them

If you can get a price for me posted that would be great to. thanks

haha martin 34s are way to over priced for me but thanks for looking out for me bruv

the run was pretty shit but we got good pics of the bird and saw some great scenery, wooten way is our cruise after the next one.

what would you buy tank?? never know it could be great after the turbo and be worth keeping

not sure m8, was considering a TRD chaser or even just a GTT 34 something thats not as expensive to fix when i brake it, cauz i know im going to brake it lmfao

Yea sorry Martin were abit late, we were on the road by 1030...

Roads were very rough, therefore very slow! There was one good section from dungog over to buckets way, but apart from that, wooten was great! Smooth and very wide, and 100kph speed limit and no other cars on the road.

Will hit it up for the next run.

    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
    • Thank you so much for the help
    • Yes it is ATF. I quote @Duncan "it takes a good synthentic auto trans fluid like Castrol Transmax Z" It's not a diff. It's a transfer case. Totally different thing. Yes, fluid will come out the sender hole. No you do not really need to drain it. Just pull the old, quickly poke the new, clean up and top up. But realistically, you should probably take the opportunity to change it anyway.
