rs88
Hi Guys, I've searched and searched this topic endlessly on this forum and on the web but I can't find any straight answers. Can you guys advice on Braided Stainless Steel Brake lines for my 2003 V35? Questions I have are: 1) Is it 4 or 6 brake lines that I need? 2) Is the 350Z kit the same as the V35? 3) I assume the kit for the G35 is the same as the V35? 4) Does anyone know if I buy a reputable kit from Ebay/US e.g Goodridge/Stoptech/HEL would still be ADR approved? I know the HEL website specifies you need to select ADR Compliance when shopping. Btw, the HEL website does not have the specific kit for the V35. Closest is 350Z - hence question 2. 5) Would Brembo or Non Brembo brakes have any impact on the type/number of brake lines? I really appreciate any comments/advce/experiences on this! Thanks!!!! Nightcrawler
Yes G35/V35/350Z are identical in terms of Brembo brakes. From memory there are 4 lines. I bought StopTech braided lines and they are good. Not sure if they are ADR though - but they do have whip test stickers/high quality ends - is a cop really going to pull you up on this? But I guess if you ever got defected it matters. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/403459-braided-brake-lines/#findComment-6416860 Share on other sites
Deep Dish V35
regency in SA is harshly against braided lines. their reasoning is: you cant tell if the rubber core has cracked or perished. i did hear that there is a brand that is approved.... dont know if thats just a rumor tho Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/403459-braided-brake-lines/#findComment-6417016 Share on other sites
rs88
Thanks Guys. Appreciate your quick response! So Non Brembo and Brembo makes no difference in regards to number of brake lines? mosoto
no, but I doubt non-brembo would fit brembo so would be a specific order. http://www.maltech.com.au/ultimatebrakehoses.html Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/403459-braided-brake-lines/#findComment-6421698 Share on other sites

There is no law telling the owner to replace 40 year old brake lines but new replacement braided teflon ones don't pass? Regency are a pack of knobs. As long as the lines are ADR approved and marked as such you should have no issues.
