Wavy Car Carpet How To Fix?

hi guys my car got some water on the drivers side carpet and now the carpet has fully dried but is wavy and looks like it doesnt fit properly.

the water cause has been fixed just wondering on some ideas on how to fix this carpet problem.

i have heard that some people have ironed their carpet to make it fix properly any thaughts on this??

or has anyone used different methods
