Are you using a heatgun on the paint Aaron?

yeh you need one

Yes you will need to for sure. Rob did his with a roller and gun, plus some scotch.

Athid is a sure bet though, will be done perfect.

Athid is the bawwwss when it comes to guard rolling.

Yeh Athid was really good, he did my stagea. called him about a few cars though (mine and a e46) and he didnt want to touch them - for fair enough reasons, I wanted mine flared to all buggery which he didnt want to do because of the paint, and e46 guards are a pain in the ass and told me the guy will struggle to fit the wheels.

ended up buying a guard roller, and heat gun for what it wouldve cost, and did it myself. e46 guy was pulling himself, and alot of BMW owners started calling me offering $150 per guard!!

and I flared mine a shite load which I was happy with!

plus done a few guards now and the roller and gun payed themselves off = win for me

Yeh took me about 3-4 days about 2-3 hours each day to get them absolutely right!

Using di-grinders and everything to push out the inner guard. When he gets back from Miami I'll get some pictures..

But here's a pic of what he did to the e46 a few weeks back. So I sent him this

Uy4we+pu_original.jpg

it's an external GPS receiver.

so much more accurate than the one in you phone.

you connect this to your phone via bluetooth and run software such as:

http://www.racechrono.com/

this is the most common one as it free.

then you can download track from their site, and you get trap points lap times and speed logged, which can be overlaid on your video similar to Richo or JP's

this is also how we give real vmax and such not relying on inaccurate speedos.

If I get addicted to Tracking after Sandown

I think I will look into highflowing my turbo, just so my old stock 160,000km turbo doesn't decide to shatter itself and take bits of the engine with it.

I'll keep the injectors stock so I can still compete in the 'standard' class :P

Should be good for 220-230rwkw and more reliable for the track

I could just change the rears and step back down....

Give us noobs a chance

The only trophy I got is one with someone else's name on it from the SAU VIC Storage locker LOL

Give us noobs a chance

after trying semi's there no going back anyhow

no point spending money to go slower.

I have no need for trophy's..

A good drive is the only prize I need :D

true homo words.

The next std class champion in the making right here. Who will step up

wait what class would that put me in if i was to enter?

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
