Hi all

Time to put my R31 up for sale. I bought it to be a track car originally, but never got around to using it & now i've got WAY too many projects & cant get time to look at this.

Basically its an aussie 4 door R31 sedan with an RB25DET motor from a S2 R33 GTS-T. Its got a big front mount with custom piping, 3" exhaust turbo back through to a canon (nice sound) & a microtech lt8 ecu (so i was told by the previous owner, i havent had a chance to investigate). The car comes with an engineers report for the engine swap from when it was registered before i purchased it. Its also got an alarm with built in immobiliser & turbo timer & 4 door central locking. I was told its got stock R31 gearbox (5 speed manual) & single spinner diff, just the motor from the other car. Gearbox feels fine & motor is only running roughly 9psi so the clutch feels good also. Motor compression was 140-155 across all 6 cylinders last time i checked it.

The car starts & runs, but it appears coolant is leaking through the turbo into the intake, so only gets started briefly every couple of weeks to keep everything moving. The body has rust in a few places, & would suit a track car more than getting back on the road. 1 of the rear calipers is slowly leaking brake fluid, so would need to be addressed before hitting the track obviously. Otherwise its pretty complete, can easily be started & driven onto a car trailer for transport.

Let me know if this link doesn't work & i'll post links to individual pics.

Car is located in western sydney.

Asking price is $1800 as is, or I can supply a good condition turbo from an RB25 stagea for an extra $200. I got this to swap but havent had the time with multiple other projects.

Might be interested in part swaps for Z32 afm with or without plug, 1000cc injectors for rb26.

Best to PM on here as I check it daily, or call or sms 0407 896 339.

Cheers

Chris

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
