I have installed 1DIN DVD/MP3/DivX player in upper glove box of my '06 CPV35. In place of DVD NAV unit.

Have to tell ya , it's not that easy as it sounds...

Thanks everyone on the forum for sharing installation tips etc... thought I'd give something back.

Bose Sounds amazing...video didn't work though :O((

Monitor was switching to JAP map with crappy message popping up all the time...

After spending a night in the garage and getting sore back I finally found the solution, some of you might be interested in.

The Fix is for Series II V35 DVD NAV unit.

Model Number: CCU-3403M

Part Name: CONT ASSY-NAVI

32pin harness:

Pin-4 (Blue/Black) Cut or better wire to a switch as I did.

Pin-5 (Pink/Red) Connect to Ground.

This is not correct. When i did mine pin 8 is the speed sensor which needs to be put to a switch. But i cant find the park brake which needs to be cut in the wiring diagram. I found this by probing all the wires (use LED test light) while putting the park brake on and off. From memory its pretty close to the speed sensor wire. When you find it, just ground it.

pin 9 is illumination.....

Series 1 is the white plug,

Pin 7 the purple with the white dot is the handbrake which gets cut and earthed

Pin 8 is the speed sensor which just needs to be cut. I would only put a switch there if you want to keep the screen functions working

The easiest solution would be to get it done programmatic-ally

So If the speed sensor wire is cut the screen functions would not work?

I believe only in terms of mileage, maintenance schedules, and anything else that needs to measure distance travelled. Otherwise, all other functions not related to distances/speed will continue to work.

Arh SWEET so the module is under the passenger glove box area?? I was going to just splice/ground the park brake wire actually at the park brake,

but if its easier to do from the passenger module thingy even better, as I was going to do the speed sense wire also if I could find it! So that wire is

a BLUE/BLACK STRIPE RIGHT, How would one test you have the speed sense wire?

Excuse my ignorance here, im not a wiring techy at all. So by cutting the speed sense wire you can always watch video/screen function whilst on the move? A switch which some are putting in is for turning the screen off whilst driving right?

 Isnt the reason for cutting it in the first place is to use the screen on the move? Bascially just wondering why a switch?

The switch is to cut the speed sensor otherwise the screen will be blocked as soon as you start driving.

The switch is there so you can still have the use of the trip computer when not using the screen.

The easy fix is just get it converted to English with the video block removed in the program.

    • I appreciate the detailed explanation, think I understand now. I spent the better part of last night reading what I could about shuffle and potential solutions. I had replaced the OEM twin turbo pipe with an alternate Y pipe that is separated further away from the turbo. The current one is from HKS and I had a previous pipe that was separated even further away, both have shuffle. I had heard that a divider can be welded in to the OEM pipe to remove turbulence, and figure that aftermarket pipes that are more separated would achieve the same thing. From what I read, most people with -10 turbos get shuffle due to their size, though it's a bit less common with -5s on a standard RB26. I think Nismoid mentioned somewhere it's because OEM recirculation piping is common in Australia with -5 cars. It seems that the recommendation tends to vary between a few options, which I've ordered in what I think is most feasible for me:  1. Retune the MAP or boost controller to try to eliminate shuffle 2. Install OEM recirculation piping 3. Something called a 'balance pipe' welded onto the exhaust manifolds. I don't know if kits for this are available, seems like pure fabrication work 4. simply go single turbo My current layout is as follows: Garrett 2860 -5s HKS Racing Suction intake MAF delete pipes HKS racing chamber intake piping hard intercooler piping,  ARC intercooler HKS SSQV BOV and pipe Haltech 2500 elite ECU and boost solenoid/controller HPI dump pipes OEM exhaust manifolds HKS VCAM step 1 and supporting head modifications Built 2.6 bottom end All OEM recirculation piping was removed, relevant areas sealed off I'll keep an eye out for any alternative solutions but can get started with this.  Only other question is, does shuffle harm the turbo (or anything else)? It seems like some people say your turbo shafts will explode because of the opposing forces after a while and others say they just live with it and adjust their pedal foot accordingly.
    • That worked out PERFECTLY! Thank you big time to JJ. He was able to swap me his stock diff. He drove all the way to me as well. Killer! Removal & install was pretty straightforward. The diff itself is HEAVY. So that’s a 2 man job.  Man does the car drive nice now! Couldn’t have worked out any better 👌
