xntrq
I got T10 42 SMD LED bulbs for my parkers and 8000K Xenon gas HID. Very happy with it. Haven't got myself a high beam kit yet but will be getting another HID for my high beams. Philips 5000K Diamond Vision - True white, everything appears as if they were in sunlight. may appear slightly yellowish on some angles but its pure white. HID 8000K - 55W Ballasts and bulbs, disgregard the greenish tint coming from the lights. the camera picks up the green coming from my yellowish lens. These will make your yellow street signs, car plates or whatever you have yellow in WA, appear green haha. Kinda awesome. But they go great for under $100 on eBay. Sorry for R33 GTR, I have xenon headlights although im not liking the yellow colour.. Change the bulbs if you already have a HID kit installed. Perhaps you have 5000K xenons. 6000k is white i think and anything beyond that starts to go blue. kaitoukid
HIDs take awhile to warm up, so they're not the best for high beams imo. And I have a feeling ballasts may not like the lights being turned on/off a lot (unless you live in woop and drive with your highbeams everywhere avoiding wildlife?) Gonna give it a shot and see how long they last. but HID for high beams, sh!t gets real right there. DragonX2X
Hi guy just wanna check if any of you can post up the ebay link for the HID conversion kit. Thinking of changing my R33 halogen bulbs to HID if possible. Just love those white/blue-ish lights. Is this a right one? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/H1-35W-6000K-AC-Xenon-HID-kit-R33-Skyline-Low-Beam-/270985204866?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f17fa1482#ht_4426wt_1002 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/408115-what-is-the-best-hidledparker-lightsnumber-plateand-both-low-beam-and-high-beam/#findComment-6523258 Share on other sites

sydking
ive been doing a shit load of reading..... Everyone who has used the 55w for lowbeam said its way way to bright. Re your link- They dont come with the ballasts? Seems very pricey for what they are, so your 33 uses Xenons? when i bought my car i was told it had exenon headlights.... But he also told me the cracked jap snow tyres on the car were, Awsome rubber... So i took everything after that with less then a grain of salt. They are pictured with the Ballasts and it says each kit comes with a Ballast. Only some GTR's came with Xenons and they should have been removed for compliance. And I just said I have this kit IN MY HIGH BEAM's. I have 35w in my low beam This is why I'm suggesting this kit, I have a cheap kit in my low beams and the more expensive kit as linked is much better. You wanted advice and I gave it. If you want to do a Xenon conversion this kit is good Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/408115-what-is-the-best-hidledparker-lightsnumber-plateand-both-low-beam-and-high-beam/#findComment-6601806 Share on other sites
