Ok well spent a bit of money on her today, took it into the workshop and has the idle valve replaced and some minor things adjusted, when she was in I asked them to replace my thrust bearing in the clutch which has been noisy for ages. Worked out it was the input shaft bearing in the gearbox itself,

Could not be arsed pulling the gearbox out and opening it up just to replace one thing and pay for all that.

Made some calls and Neil from Adelaide Jap Dismantlers did me a price through my work for an imported very low km gearbox. $550 outright, normally $700 changeover keeping my spare gearbox. so I had that picked up today and My workshops fitting it Monday with new red line fluid, so spent close to a grand on her all up, thinking about keeping her again,

I'm in two minds.

Jesus Christ why is this car still here.

All aspects of this car and performance has been addressed in the proper way and it's legal as well as powerful with massive amounts of adjustment . Am I missing something? People are selling stock 32s with higher ks that this. I don't even have people wasting my time with test drives. No money to be spent, the issue of noisy input shaft bearing was fixed with an entirely new gearbox and just fixed the air conditioning for summer to make it crispy cold.

ok well i get asked a bit is the car still for sale, yes it is but im unsure on the price,

i have recently had the ac system replaced and revamped fully (no f**king way im doing summer without %100 aircon)

obviously put a new tip top gearbox in

also tinted the windows properly

about to fit new tires maby new wheels

just fitted new HIDs

about to re service and re-tune with a few little things to address so it is for sale but things need to be discussed.

not that anyone serious has brought money to me so far, pm or sms me anytime

even though this is turning into more of a build thread :P

Goodluck with the sale mate, very impressive for the price. Chin up, I've seen skyline sales literally go on for about 12 months before.

Ok last chance. $10000 and I have just put splitfire coil packs in it with new plugs.

Have now got new car coming and the time has come to cut my losses.

Sorry its still here mate, if this was for sale earlier in the year would have snapped up it straight away.

Coming up to xmas I think you may have a few issues though might be worth holding on to it and trying early next year?

Goodluck with it though.

Nope, got to go.

Recently spent with receipts...

New gearbox fitted $1100

New ac parts, rewire to suit ecu and regass $300

Tint $300

Split fires fitted $700

The dropped the price to well $9990 on car sales, I expect it to go fairly quickly

Ire state buyers welcome, easy as it comes with all the engineering paperwork and certificates as well as regency paperwork from as gov.

Almost thinking about prating out ifi had the time, would be easy to get money from the parts and sell an engendered shell, or keep it forms rainy day. Engineering costs thousands, can't throw that away.

wow last post looks drunk, thats forums on phones for you.

still here, still getting stupid offers, please if you want to give me a stupid offer, pop it in an email and miss type my address, would be appreciated.

come and drive it you will see what im on about

I've seen this car around a few times, very similar to my old car

Good luck with the sale, unfortunatley I won't be in the market for a few months yet

    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
    • 310mm rotors will be avilable from Australia, Japan, and probably a few other places. Nothing for the front can be put on the back.
