V35 Replacement Keys In Syd?

Hi All,

I've lost my keys and am now down to my spare set.

I managed to get replacement remote for my autowatch alarm ($40 per remote), it was easy to program.

Now I need to get the key for the car cut and from my searching on google it appears the key has a chip which will need to be programmed.

The dealer quotes me $500 or so to get 1 replacement key! Then another $100 or so to get it programmed.

I've read people using locksmits all over aus at way cheaper prices but am struggling to find one in Syd..

anyone got some contacts that can help?

Chris was referring to the place (ie Nissan) where the actual key is obtained.

Just Jap in Kirrawee does not stock the G35 Transponder type key; but if you wish to wait, they could get it in.

Sydney:-

Just Jap for instance stocks the R34 GT-R key for $129 - less discount for SAU Members

Abbotts Locksmiths can cut the key from either i) computer code which is most accurate or ii) your other key for $60

JapLink Motors can programme your newly cut key, so long as you bring your current key (for matching), for $20

All up cost would amount to $200

New key and programmed for $120.. works well.

Does this new key include the transponder chip? (in the key).
