Hi all - putting my r32 gtst for sale, I've owned the car for over 4.5 years and the only time it has broken down was when I took the turbo off to replace it :) Reliable as anything and you'll know everything about the car before you buy it! I'm being upfront with everything about the car ... genuine reason for sale (I've just bought a new Audi A4 S-Line - decided to pamper myself with Euro luxury after years of jap cars).

General Info:

- 1989 r32 Gtst Type - M

- 211,000 Km's (unlike most that replace clusters to show fake mileage!)

- Serviced less than every 5000 km's ever since its been with me!

- Dyno'd at 170 rwkw at Sam (Dr Drift) - engine is VERY healthy

- Clutch was replaced when I bought the car at around 160,000 km's

- Hasn't seen a burnout / wheelspin / donut etc etc, I'm 29 years old and I bought it from a 35 year old guy - the car has not been put through any P-Plater fury :D

- Turbo was replaced with a stock r33 turbo around 4000 km's ago

- Steering column replaced around 2 years ago

- Clutch master cylinder replaced around 2000 km ago

- Car has registration till Sep next year I think

- Starts first time, every time - no engine noises etc

- Gear box is in decent condition, no slipping etc

- Body is in very good condition for its age - it was hit in the front by a drunk driver but minor damage, radiator, front bar and a few other tiny bits and pieces were replaced by a proper body shop (his insurance covered it) - no structural damage etc

- Type M so it has the body kit, better interior and bigger brakes

- Brand new fuel pump installed 2000 km's ago

Modifications:

- HICAS lock bar professionally installed

- Yellow jacket coils (brand new) put in around 6000 km's ago

- Front and back strut bars

- Mp3 head unit with Aux input - splits at the back still not installed and a 12 inch sub, sound is decent enough

- CAT back exhaust, i think its 2.5 inch - sounds good, not like a tin can sound :D

- Has alarm system installed

- Quality boost gauge installed in the air vent (I think its Apexi)

- Slim HID kit installed, looks really good at night!

- Tinted windows

Work needed:

- Front right indicator needs replacing - and the panel has a 2 inch dent in it

- I scraped a pillar whilst parking and there is a 1x1 foot paint scraped on the passenger side

- Passenger air vent needs replacing

- Brakes feel a bit off, so brake pads / possibly disks machined or brake fluid bleeding required

- Some tyres might need replacing depending on who does the RWC - stock wheels so tyres will be cheap

- Air con needs to be regassed, one of the air con pulleys was making noise so I took it off along with the belt, will need to be fixed (pulley's pretty cheap and belt should also be cheap). Air con was cold as before I took it off, got degassed due to me replacing the heater core

- Interior trims fell off the doors so will need to be glued back on, nothing major

- There is a stone chip in the windscreen, its been there for 3 years now (some kids in pascoe vale decided its fun to throw stones at random houses) and will need to be replaced for RWC

Thats all I can think of right now, I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things. I think I've priced it reasonably well considering the cheapest on car sales I've seen recently have been 7k plus, and it shouldn't need more than 2k spent on it if you're really fussy and want everything fixed. Rego is till august next year I think. The car doesn't come with a roadworthy but I'm more than happy for you to get an RACV check done yourself.

I have no place to park this car and need to let it go ASAP! So if you're a genuine buyer, come down and feel free to negotiate the price (to an extent) - it'll be sad to see the car go, its been a big part of my life almost half a decade! The car is in Box Hill parked at my work! PM / reply to this thread, i'll be checking it regularly.

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
