Yesterday; pulled down the ke55, found out that it has a 3k head on a 4k block.. was consuming a lot of water too.

Today; finally finished off my ebc installation, holy crap I've been missing out! Massive improvement in boost ramp/response and still the same power/boost setting :) I will have to spend the next few days tuning it a bit more. Cannot recommend enough if you think your wastegate is opening too early!

Todays Post brought me a set of Front Brake Pads for R31 and a Spare Pair of Headlights.

More tinkering under the bonnet to eliminate Sputtering flatspots. (I think it's fixed but then find it's not) :( But after cleaning up some electrical connections and swapping in my spare AFM I may be onto it... Maybe. :/

See how it goes tomorrow on the commute to work.

First day back today... Need a holiday already.

good luck rob! mine was spluttering before I changed the plugs (around 3.5k 4k) flat out, havnt driven enough to find out if I fixed it yet, tomorrow when I go buy a claybar will find out :P

i really hate fault finding im having a strong cut when i accelerate heavily after changing the clutch. Might buy a new fuel filter, injector cleaner and new sparks. As for coilpacks will have to buy a new set, is there anyone with 34 coilpacks known working that i can use to test out if theyre the cause.

nah i swap them out every 5000kms when i change oil but ive done it more frequently of late coz of E85. Im thinking of getting these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/230640250253?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

If you are still looking for them when my car arrives, I don't mind lending them to you

Perhaps even the Tune/ECU. some form of boost cut under hard/sudden boost pressure

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
