Rb25 Idle And Vct Problem After Tune

hi guys i just got my car back from the tuners after having a hypergear highflow fitted after my standard turbo spat both wheels.

the car went on for the first dyno session and was pulled off as the standard suction pipe was collapsing and vct was not working and the car made 144kw on 13psi.

i ended up needing to get a jjr suction pipe but there was a problem plumbing my bov to the new suction pipe and it was blocked off for the tune.

the vct problem was suspected to be the solenoid and that was changed but nothing was still working and the signal was checked from the ecu to the solenoid and it was all good but the vct would not turn on. they tried to get it working manually but also still had no luck in doing so and the car was tuned without vct and made 252kw at 18psi backing down to 17.

upon getting the car back it was fine untill i got off the m5 ( i did not need to stop on the m5 so i didnt notice the problem) upon getting off on my exit the car started hunting for revs and was about to stall if i didnt rev it.

i came home and turned the car off and couldnt do much more as there was almost no light to start looking around in the engine bay.

im just looking for some answers as i did not want to be left without a car during the holidays and it is heading that way as it seems

It sounds like a vacuum leak. You will need to look for a leak from a blown intercooler hose/loose clamp or possibly where they have clamped off the BOV return.

Pretty decent power for high flow. Could be AFM, popped cooler pipe or unless if there is a ECU fault.

turns out the blocker piece came out. going to go autobarn and see if it solves the problem fingers crossed

ok blocked it back up and all sorted now but i have a missfire on idle that is pretty bad. cars got splitfires and bcpr7es plugs in there and was not missing prior to the turbo blowing
