Modifying Ganadors To Fit A Sedan?

So im in the process of building up an R33 4 door shell and happened to get my hands on some genuine ganadors for literally the price of peanuts.

Now as far as i know they never made then for a sedan, so my plan was to just sell them on, but after seeing a 33 sedan on yahoo japan with a set (pic attached)

I got very keen on trying to fit them.

By the looks the lip bit that over hangs the doors on the coupe just need to be removed then the whole thing smoothed off, but before i commit to this and end up ruining them

Has anyone here done this? or have an idea on where to start?

However, I understand it that the sedan door mirrors are the same so if it's a R33 spec Ganador mirrors would they bolt on with the right bracket?

my bad, heres the pic.

Same mounting points, but because the 4 door has window pillars it wont line up properly.

ill get some pics of it tomorrow and put them up

Then it will have to come down to the custom bracket. I suggest you to the mirrors and your car to a good fabricator and ask him to measure you up and make you a custom bracket.

If all things fail, try Freddy at www.topstage.com.au makes great custom stuff but will be expensive but well worth it.

then they should line up?

Mate, thanks for pictures.

I stand to be corrected, but I don't think those mirrors are made for a R33 as they just don't line up. Although you can sand it down and fit but it just wouldn't look flush. As you can see, not just the edges don't fit, the base also look a bit out of place. I suggest either you go to a special fabricator to get it done properly or look at getting ones that fit flush.

yeah im thinking the same as above because as far as im aware the mirrors should be the same for 2/4 door and they def do not fit

any updates on this? im pretty sure he is using the r33 one as seen on one of the pics...
