Hey guys,

Just wondering if someone can perhaps put up a pic and maybe some measurements, of where the bolts for mounting a rear strut brace in an R33 are.

I want to put one in the 4door but there are no holes or bolts. Apparently the 4doors didn't get the holes from the factory.

If anyone has one fitted or just have the boot linings out, some info would be much appreciated.

Thanks to ya.

Rob.

One of these ones.

ps, I've read conflicting opinions on whether they are beneficial and most people say you don't need it, but I have one and I want to install it.

The 33 GTR's do. Not sure if this will help you though?

I'm pretty sure 33 GTS-t and GTR both have holes or bolts already in place on the back of the strut towers, visible from the boot when the linings are removed.

I just basically need to know where to drill the holes.

Pics or measurements or both would be awesome. :)

pretty sure the gtr and gtst both use the same rear strut brace dont they?

I have one in my 33 and i can take apicture of it for you tomorrow if you want. It will be with a crappy quality iphone though...

Sounds good. Just need to see where the bolts actually should be. Can you get some measurings also? Would be helpful.

There are braces that attach to the strut tops like the front, which require hacking the parcel shelf and the there's the in boot style.

I thing both GTR and GTS-t have the mounts from factory for this.

just sent them through, they arent great. You're more than welcome to come around and get measurements etc if you require them.

Cheers mate, I'll chuck 'em up here for curiosity sake. I should be able to figure it out from these...

Thanks again Mitcho.

Once you put this in getting your Bat in/out will be fun :P

I had that convo with Rob out at Japspec. My battery went dead and I could not get the strut brace off. I had to get it into a shop so they could get it off!!

I just pulled it all apart using the mother of all shifters. The ones holding the bar to the bracket were tight as Bro!

Especially tight were the middle bolt/lock nuts. Someone say, left hand thread?
