well this weekend auto box was pulled out all the pedals done dash cluster has been changed im ready to put the clutch in now but i have never done this before so is there anyone out there with a good walk through on how to do it and what else i have to pull off as ive taken the converter off the back and the auto flywheel thing and am not stumped in what to do :/

done my hand break tonight was a lot easier then what i thought it was gonna be i used a r32 handbreak and the front part of the r32 cable with the tailshaft out and Center console out and the carpet is already pre cut from factory and you just pull it back and cut it away and youll see a oval hole in the top of the tunnel from underneth there is a plate covering the hole i drilled out 2 spot welds and pulled the plate off and there was your bolt holes and big hole for your cable to poke down through the hole and i used 2 10mm bolts and nuts to hold the cable bracket done the r32 hand break cable has a bracket on the end of the first part of the cable you have to drill that off and it will fit right up in to the the laurel handbreak cable then all you have to do is drill the holes for the handbreak its self and work out where you want it its very easy

and today a friend come over just to have a look at the computer and everything on it as i wanted to see if it actually had a ems ecu like the guy i brought it off said as i looked at the ecu and seemed to look just like a factory one (G8) as my friend said it may be a patch inside the loom its self but we could not work out how it was going so good with just a stock computer and putting out so much power i then started to question the poncams and if it had any at all so we took the covers off to see what it had and was happy to see the tomei are real :)

he then looked at the timing and said he was shocked as it was fully advanced and it can be really dangerous to the motor i dont really understand any of it and how it works as the car drove fine when it was auto i thought maybe some one else could tell me more about it??? and why it would be like this the 2 photos show what he looked at and now i worry :/

i made myself up a greddy one with their engine adapter and thermostat oil filter re locator with all fittings (proflow) and everything for around $500

BIt expensive but you can customize how you want it like if you dont want a oil filter relocation you can just get a thermostat block. Heaps of options.

Also random question but can you snap a photo of where your pressure line for your power steering (the one that has the banjo into the p/s pump)bolts to your chassis after it comes out from under your sub frame. Cant figure if my lines been bent retarded or i just am trying to bolt it to a random spot lol

oh really yeah thats abit more then what i want to spend i was just gonna try and get a kit already made up with the filter relocation all with it

yeah ill get a photo for ya its not up in the air at the moment ill jack it up on the weekend do you just want a picture of where it bolts to on the sub frame?

    • That looks good, but I think you're going to need much beefier side skirts now.
    • They are daft and there's a reason it never caught on. Steering feel? We don't need no stinking steering feel!
    • I gotta pull you up on this. It's driving me crazy. A shutter is something that closes, like over a window or in a cmera. The word you want is shudder. That LSD is clearly f**ked. Take it to a diff shop and get it disassembled and examined by an expert. YOu might have plates welded together or something equally crazy.
    • Define "starting to fail". Wy not just rebuild them?
    • Check the Nistune doco. There are a few assumptions being made here that might not be valid. I will list the things that occur to me: Base map. Base map for what? Base map for Z32? Then the cranking pulse width is probably wrong for an RB25. The extra 500cc of capacity might well be enough to prevent it from catching. Base map for RB25? I don't think you can load one of those into a Z32. You have to just make the settings correct for an RB25 in the Z32 base map. That is either K or the TIM to get the pulsewidth right. Loom. You bought a loom for an RB. And you plugged it into a Z32 ECU. Did you make sure that any iwre differences were swapped. From memory, there's at least a couple. And as per the others, I would suggest making sure that the fuel pressure is correct while cranking and that the injectors are actually flowing as expected. They really must come out and go on the bench, unless you do find that you have messed up as per above points. I would also suggest watching in Nistune to make sure that everything is reading correctly. That the correct binary flags are raised at the right time (like the crank signal), that there's no stupid values in K or TIM. That you have not got mismatched firmware for the ECU and/or a wrong image loaded.
